second one, but try both. If you have reverb and prescence crank them both, and use thick strings (high e at an .11 or .10) and a thick pick (at least 1mm) also hit the strings hard when you are chording, and if you want an extra sound when hitting a single string try to actually pluck it higher, like if you are plucking it with finger and thumb.
