So I owe my friend sixty dollars for food that we purchased together: we split the dues in half and he paid for it all, so I owe him. I'm in the vicinity of the campus ATM and decide to withdraw the neccesary amount of cash. I do so, it does its little whirring and humming thing, and it should be spitting out my money but instead it's fa[size=2]g[/size]ging out and just sitting there. I wait for five minutes, not wanting to leave if it spits money out for some other person to get. It finally says "Unable to Complete, Start Over." I say, okay, I have eighty dollars in checking and so I can't have insufficient funds because I haven't spent any of it, and so I try again. Oh wait, this time it says I DO have insufficient funds. I say "WTF." I go home, go on my online banking statement, and discover that that transaction was actually COMPLETED, except the ATM gave me no money, and I now have just 20 dollars in my account. I go to Operations and Fa[size=2]g[/size]cilities to rip everyone's head off but hey dee day it's CLOSED and I can't do anything about my now-gaping financial hole until Monday, which means I can't pay my friend back which means I'm really pissed off.

Discuss how everyone else's campus facilities are miles better than the ones at my 45K-A-YEAR school. :mad:

EDIT: At least I kept the reciepts. The ultimate insult would be for them to claim I have no proof.

My college ain't much better. The ATM breaks at least once a week and the machine for putting money on my student ID to buy meals and whatnot keeps eating people's cash.

Also, the computers here are balls. They put in the Cisco Clean Access agent this year, and it's been nothing but trouble. Add to the fact that the e-mail server keeps dropping messages (a lot) and the registrar's office seems to have trouble shoving paperwork through the clunkers, and you've got a pretty bad combo.

Hey guys, I was in Chicago the last two days, back in my old hood even. I visited my friend in the hospital and spent a lot of time lampin with the guys I used to run with when I was a kid and then every summer after I moved away.
