I have always used blue green.... How's college BFAG? This is #4....
|
I use gray for the forum color.
|
I was using blue-green... but I just switched to white... because it's what I used to use...
|
I've had to change how I slap... arggg...... It's sounding a lot better though.....
|

Why? |
What did you do before?
Yar. joe :amaze:
meh, I had my thumb perpendicular to the string instead of parallel... Slowed me down a hell of a lot... I'm playing an easy song over and over to acclimate to it, and the song sounds pretty good... |
Good luck with that Paul.
|
I'll record the song both ways on soundclick, and then you will hear the difference, ort more likely, my recording quality won't let you hear anything.

I don't do it like that though... I go parallel... |
Mine goes parellel with a very small angle of my thumb going up.

College is great, i dont have class after 12:00 so yesterday, my friends and i ate japanese food in hyde park, then went to wicker park at 9pm, to an art show, then walk around michigan, going into book stores, then we went to this italian joint near my old house, then we went to another art show. we got back at 2am. today we are going out again, then there are several parties tonight to go to. Class is great, hard work, but we learn so much, like thanks to music theory class, i can read both clefs now. almost can sight read as well.
|
You all should eat around Oak Park.... The FLW houses are so nice.... or just walk by the one on campus.... BTW, are the renovations done on that?
|

I don't do it like that though... I go parallel...
You can get better speed, but you need **** good accuracy, because you'll wit other strings... ARe you guys able to curl your thumb backwards? My teacher can, and it's a lot easier to be accurate if you can... I can't... |
You mean hitch hiker's thumb?

music theory class is great... but... my teacher excepts everyone to know how to read bass clef and G clef when you walk in... because all the students are in a band or play piano(except for me)... so I didn't learn to sight read too good in the class(well I did learn how to read C clef... but that was from home work)... but I am learning my intervals on the staff and all that jazz... The ear training in the class is very helpful too... but I suck at hearing intervals :( |
You mean hitch hiker's thumb?
Yar. joe :amaze:
so it looks kinda like ) <-that..... |
I got Hitch Hickers thumb also.
|
I don't have the thumb but I do hitch.

The ear training is subperb, and we learn how to sing. :amaze: |
bfag: kool man, good luck with that!
