I just wanted to be sure TEST wasn't banned for this thread because personally I think it was pretty funny and such.

I'd actually encourage more people to do them if it wasn't illegal <_< R&M needs light humor more often.

TEST was banned because he posted a meatspin link masked as a photobucket link. Subtle permed both Charming and TEST.

Stoic has an extremely good point.

I'm not the most popular user. If I do something stupid, say blank posts. Get banned.... Wow. Everyone claps, "hey charming got banned". It's sorta like a bad relationship "dance" that two people will play.
There's no reason for me to behave, much less feel as if I lost something. Since I'm so hated. (Yes, I brought that on myself) (spamming, being an asshat, account theft, starting the biggest R&M war in my stay on MX at least and the list goes on. )

Thanks. I thought they were somewhat clever and funny. It was just a chill way to kill of five minutes. R&M needs a lot of humor.

If these are done well and not attacks at posters, I think it'd be a cool thing.

As for "what kind of Mod I'd be",
Honestly. I'd be pretty damn leniant. I wouldn't hold grudges, ban for some past flame war, etc etc. Yes, I'm on a lot, so that'd keep R&M safe. I wouldn't abuse power, EVER.

See, back to stoics point. If I was a Mod, there'd be things expected of me. If I abused that, I'd be demodded. That'd be falling/e-embarresment and so on.

I'm not asking to be a mod or w/e. Just commenting on stoics point.


As for my actions last night,

1. I knew it was wrong and an automatic SURE BET perm ban.
2. I apologize to anyone had to view the links and to anyone in R&M who couldn've accidentally clicked those. That was wrong.
3. I would like to explain why I did that, knowning I'd get perm banned and how out of line it was.


SilentScream made a site forum topic saying it'd be helpful to add another mod to our R&M crew. Since folks aren't online much, or it seems so.

It quickly became a flame fest against "which users should never be mods".

Then Burt (SubtleDagger) and Atman showed up. Then it just went straight to hell. Later it spilled into R&M, finally resulting in my actions.

1. It wasn't right of me.
2. I apolgize, those aren't pretty images.
3. I will explain thoughts behind doing so,

Burt was really going on the offensive and teaming with Atman to CAUSE and keep the conflict growing.
It seemed very un mod like. A mod should NEVER start and keep conflict growing. They should KEEP THE PEACE or TRY their best to.

So, I was having fun for a while, trading e-insults and such. Then I realized, this is crazy. A mod started this whole thing and is keeping it going... He was acting worse than toast.

Again, it wasn't right, but I wanted to add a smashing halt to the mess.

Again. I knew it would be caught, it's a sure bet. I knew I'd be perm banned, but read the above.

So that's pretty it.

Well, at one point, specifically my Chick Corea thread, I started to admire you a little bit. I don't think you should have gone back the whole thing and maybe just tried to rebuild some kind of cred on the site. It's not like you're unintelligent and can't control yourself.

I think Dargon shook up R&M more than Charming personally.

But I don't have a problem with Charming except when he's an idiot. I don't see him post and think lowly of him or anything though.
