Say Anything, probably the third best pop-punk band after Coheed and Thrice.
Yes, very much so. Except I don't really like Coheed. Should I get 3? It's on sale for $10. Diggage: Do Make Say Think - & Yet & Yet (good for studying) Antony and the Johnsons Birds Are Spies, They Report To The Trees
I want to know what Thrice are like as people.
Apparently they are good blokes. They seem cool in the interviews I've read. I'm pretty sure most of them are christians too. |
Mice Parade - Bem-Vinda Vontade
Interpol - Antics |
And my weekly chart;
1 A Perfect Circle 37 2 The Locust 34 3 Interpol 23 3 Queens of the Stone Age 23 5 The Mars Volta 21 5 Animal Collective 21 7 The Microphones 20 8 A-Frames 19 8 Prefuse 73 19 10 Of Montreal 17 |
I dunno how to exactly describe The Cramps. Greasy, bluesy, rockabilly garage punk.
I'd say that's perfect. I've been diggin' Minutemen and Meat Puppets. |

So that's the only album by them I can recommend. |
The Delgados are one of my favorite bands. Everyone thinks I'm overrating this band almost criminally, and they're probably right. But their music is the epitome of what the OrbDragons of the world feast on. Artsy, over the top and cute melody-caressing female vocals (at least for one half).
Even if you Hate (no pun intended?) their other material, you got to hand it that "Keep On Breathing" is one of the more interestingly composed pop songs. It's so genius. Besides The Delgados, I've been listening to Dresden Dolls and The Arcade Fire alot. "In The Backseat" is one of the better Arcade Fore songs, it's sad in a happy sort of way (or the other way around). The Dresden Dolls are one of the best bands of this decade in my opinion...if anyone can tell me more bands that use imagery that's different and unique to them, tell me right away. |

Too bad :( |
Hmm, the only Coheed CD I truly really dig is Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV. So that's both of the ones that aren't the one that is on sale. :p
|
I think Coheed is crap
... ... ... Maybe I shouldn't have said that, but it felt quite good. |
Too bad :(
You could always check out Toby Driver's solo album because that's what I'm digging at the moment. Yay, for more ambience. |
Good. How you finding it?
I'm loving it. I listendto it twice yesterday and once the day before. It's a stunningly encaptavating album. |
The Cramps - Songs The Lord Taught Us
I dunno how to exactly describe The Cramps. Greasy, bluesy, rockabilly garage punk.
Yeah, that album is amazing. |
godheadSilo has to be the most boring band ever.

You mean like anything Cedric Bixler does? Or does it have to be imagery that other people can acutally understand? |

Not something I can listen to often... But when I'm in the Toby Driver's solo album sort of mood, Toby Driver's solo album hits the freakin' spottttttt. I've been diggin': random Elliott Smith songs some good ol' post-y metal by Minsk and 5ive Deltron 3030 and/or random Del songs Peter Griffin's cover of Rock Lobster various Katamari Damacy songs yay |
Quincy Jones is so darn good. Soul Bossa Nova is the best mojo song ever.

He also wrote what is arguably the greatest theme song in all of television: Sanford and Son. I can put that on my iPod and just walk around all day with it on repeat and feel great :):( |
