|
would Daath be considered industrial?
|
industrial melodic daath metal
|
i've never heard them before but they seemed to be tagged with "progressive death metal" and "industrial death metal" and the like which leads me to believe they may have some industrial elements
|

is that true 8-bit? I think I hear some kind of reverb effect at the start
its not kvlt if it can't be replicated by a NES sound chip |
I actually agree Haxz. Although most the good stuff, *cough* Anamataguchi and co, is done on computerz.
EDIT:  Thanks. |
just for this page
i've been thinking, this thread title might need to be changed to something a little more clearer. it seems to be the industrial/electronic/post-punk/noise rock/ambient whatever thread so idk. any ideas? |
R&M Experimental Music Thread [Catfight On A Hotdog Discussion Welcome]
|
not all the stuff described here could be described as "experimental" though
|
R&M fad thread

its more than a passing fad for the 3 or 4 people who regularly post in here |

Fat Bags Of Noise Thread
Would be far more compelling if that were the case tbh. |
Next time you're high listen to my stuff bro. I've been keen to see how people experience it with durgz.
lolololol its more than a passing fad for the 3 or 4 people who regularly post in here
I think between you, me and Alex that we've recorded something like 350 tracks in two years. |

well i've made like, 7
idk how many alex has made |
I think I've got 150 or so to the point where they're finished off. Probably got another 70 in tatters.
|
there are about 25 songs included in the pink and yellow discog
|
burroughs is up on my blog if you missed it alex
|
yeah i saw that
my download finished while i was out and it seems to have the same tracklist, tho |
it must be that the CD version in this boxset you mentioned omits one track from the original LP pressing called Choral Section, Backwards for some reason
it's probably not a huge loss though. |
yeah that's the one
i also got one track called I Was Fulling Around With These Tapes in Hotels that I don't think is on the LP pressing |
http://www.amazon.com/Best-William-Burroughs-Giorno-Systems/dp/samples/B000006CMX
was that off this one? tracklist is all over the place on here, track 5 onwards of disc 4 seems to be Nothing Here Now But The Recordings with an extra track on the end |
yeah i just dled the whole fourth disc
|
so it has the first four tracks with it?
i'm curious whether this rip I have is just the tracks from the LP separated from the fourth disc, or if there was a separate release made at some point. seems to be an awful lot of sources in different bitrates on soulseek all omitting that one song (it doesn't seem anyone wants to pony up the $999 to pay for the LP on discogs and perform a vinyl rip lol). |
yeah i have the first four spoken pieces with it
idk, if you're missing the choral section its quite possible it's just ripped from the collection. |

best song off KMFDM's somewhat messy album XTORT |
also, new thread title. I hope it blankets everything we talk about in here well enough
|
Earlier today I was digging through some blogs and happened upon a recording by a German band called Der Schwarze Kanal.
I'm listening to it right now and this might be a very good find. Think Einsturzende Neubauten but without any sense of song structure. |
so random aggressive percussion and some ethnic elements?
|
it's just all kinds of droning noise with clattering percussion all over the place. really noisy metallic stuff.
|
sounds good, I love that sort of stuff
Test Dept's Ecstacy Under Duress is probably my favourite album of that nature |
i need some test dept
|
currently getting the following -
Nurse With Wound - Brained By Falling Masonry In the Nursery - Köda The KLF - Doctorin' The Tardis |
i might actually need to upload this later, it's the real deal
