Incubus Rock, i think there bassist is ok, but not as good as the old one, although he tends to be fast with his fretboard.

i got a better idea go here http://www.renmanagement.com/podcasts/IncubusPodcastJanuary2006.mp3

incubus podcast with a cover of "black hole sun", mothertruckas!!!!!!!!!!

PS: the difference between the two is part 1 is for the game which they just changed the tone and made longer to fit the feel of the game. but you cant tell me that they are different songs cause its the same damn thing.

what'd everyone think of that podcast i posted?

if you didnt check it out it basically goes over:
-the new album sound
-track titles
-US Tour info for 2006

and has a couple live covers and a crappy 2pac mashup with "drive"

black.hole.sun 01-27-2006 05:11 PM

Me too man, me too. I'm in a funky progressive rock band atm and I feel like covering the tune, but playing the main riffs on clean strat (bridge pup) and playing it real funky-like. Think it could work? And maybe giving the bassist a little more freedom to improvise.

enjoimx 01-31-2006 11:13 AM

sure, but not all clean, just i mean add a little bit of distortion, but even better some oD if you have a tube amp

I have a Marshall Valvestate. I may decide to use a Tubescreamer though... :) All this equipment (except the Marshall) don't belong to me yet. Musical gear in South Africa is expensive. :(

black.hole.sun 02-01-2006 03:03 PM

Their covers of Lets Go Crazy and Black Hole sun from the podcast are amazing.

enjoimx 02-01-2006 04:54 PM
