I'd like to see a book about some of the lyrical content and a biography of the band. The book could be called "I'm Housin'," and it would include their re-mastered demo tape. :thumb: I would buy that regardless of the price. But its never going to happen. :upset:

I guess its just us three left.
Nah, Rage ended with GOA, which was fine. A nice Live 'Best of' cd and DVD with good footage of 2 sweet concerts. Let Rage rest in peice. :p
Ah...quite true... I think that any "greatest hits" you make would be close enough to what would be on an actual release anyway. A remastered demo tape probably wouldn't be worth it. "Clear the Lane" wasn't that great of a song, "Mindset's a Threat" wasn't too great, and I'm not sure how "Autologic" is, but if it didn't make it to the s/t, I'm not sure it would be entirely worth it. A biography of Rage would be awesome, and there's bound to be one somewhere. I'll be checking Barnes and Noble personally. I know there's a "Maximum Rage" around. |

Mom, tell Chris to stop drawing my face on a pig's body! Nice Family Guy reference there. :thumb: |
Maximum Rage is just a few crap interviews I believe. Revolution USA is crap also, stay away from them.

Anyways, go vote Rage in the poll guys.
Don't worry, I already did. :thumb: RATM is going to get my vote no matter what. |
If Rage is put up against Tool, I'll have to vote Tool. :upset:
|
Same here, DOG.
|
Bumped for your pleasure.
|
Thank you...
So... whats you guy's fav Rage song? |
Mine would be Sleep Now In The Fire or Know Your Enemy.
|
Wake Up is my favorite.
|
Yeah I like the Kashmir-influenced intro.
|
Me to.. Wake Up is rockin.
|
Township Rebellion or Year Of Tha Boomerang.
|
Oh, I forgot Township Rebellion that song has my favorite solo courtesy of Tom Morello.

Thats good but man, what a mindblowing breakdown/bridge/interlude. Very powerful. Also Fistful Of Steel is really good to. |
Yeah, the only part I don't like in Township Rebellion is "Why stand on a silent platform fight the war, fuck the norm." It seems repetive after a while.

Thats part of its powerfulness (if thats even a word). It awesome. :thumb: |
Yeah it's cool the first few times. The best part vocally is the speed-rapping part.
|
Yeah it's cool the first few times. The best part vocally is the speed-rapping part.
Feh, the solo is easily the best part of that song. The rest of the song is just typical RATM, nothing special really happens. |
Yeah, that's why I specified that the speed-rapping was the best part vocally. That solo totally owns though.
|
RATM was definately the most politically aware band. the thing that made ratm so popular was there own creative genre of funk rock music. did you know that maynard james keenan of tool sings the "i got no patience now" bit in know your enemy. and that tom morello was in a band with adam jones (the tool guitarist) in high school.
|
funk rock??
Did ne 1 listen to them on the impossible music festival? they were gr8 |

Please, let's not start this. The thread has been going very well over the past few months and we don't need to foul it up with this nonsense. |
Hmm
Meh, rage are ok. They're not great. I like their self titled album, but the rest of their stuff pretty much sucks. Yeah, like someone said earlier, nothing really special happens. You've heard one rage song from an album, you've heard the whole album.

Everyone knows that mate. This is the RATM thread, the people who know most about Rage post in here. |

How can you say **** like that! Rage are one of my all time favourite bands and the reason that i listen to the music i do now. All their albums are good. |
true that...and i'm just saying for no real reason now that tom morello rules...
|
true that...and i'm just saying for no real reason now that tom morello rules...
I totally agree. Simple riffs but man do they kick ***. Tom Morello is a one of the only true guitarists left along with Zack Wylde, Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. IF only Dimebag was still here. He knew how to rip! |
