I'm pretty sure she is.
|
Diggin Kashmir and Kylie Minogue still.
And GTA San Andreas. |
As of today, I'm writing a biography and CD review on Elliott for english.
|
Best. Assignment. Ever.
|
Hooray, the Internet delivery system works! I ordered Relationship of Command (indie cred-- for lateness) and now it's here after only 1-2 business days! Thanks Amazon, you bastard you.
|
At The Drive-In are awful, Wide.
You lose. |

You may hate usernames, but I just hate you right now. :p |
So they're re-releasing all of ATDI's CDs...
|
At The Drive-In are awful, Wide.
You lose.
Well hell, I like 'em anyway. Will you accept my apology? |
*hopes milkandlaxatives is a chick*
nope. i have a GREAT BIG wang. ok, yes. i am. |
Well hell, I like 'em anyway. Will you accept my apology?
I was just messing with you, fool. Oh, and right now I'm digging Dizzy Gillespie's "At Newport" and Charles Mingus' "Black Saint and the Sinner Lady." Suddenly I just got the urge for some crazzy *** big band stuff. |
Lately, I've found that a bit of Beulah is a great way to start the morning.
|

I concur. More vitamins and nutrients than Shredded Wheat, less calories than eggs n' bacon, and more energizingness that a cup of coffee. It's scientifically proven! |
Cursive blew my mind yesterday. I'm glad, I'm glad.
Today I shall be listening to some BDO bands. I want to be as familiar as possible with the bands I'm going to wach. |
Cynic's 'Focus' for me, thanks to Bartender.
I wish I'd checked out more bands at Reading before I went. As it is, I just downloaded loads of Squarepusher, then they pulled out. :( |
Today I've been listening to:
Q And Not You - No Kill No Beep Beep TV On The Radio - Young Liars EP The Arcade Fire - Funeral |
^ Good stuff.
Funeral is top shelf. and TV On The Radio > You. Do you want me to rant about them? |
"Malvado I" by Del Rey is one groovy track
|
Death From Above 1979 is meetin my expectations... I'm really enjoying this loud post-punk, noisey-danceish band... Muy fun. "Blood On Our Hands" is a fantastic song....
*and* Halo 2 is very enjoyable (roommate purchased it today) |
I was in metal mode last night. Mastodon, Cryptopsy and Meshuggah were blasting out my computer. My brother played drums loud so I was pumping it.
|
Today its mostly been sonic youth and the fall right now
|
Yeaaahh, The Fall.
|
Please, please, please... I can't emphasize this enough... Please! Do yourself a favor and check out The Weakerthans and The Spill Canvas. They are too good for you to not hear.
|
I haven't listened to it in a couple days, but parts of Kaada/Patton's Romances is stuck in my head...
That's good enough qualification for "diggin' it" status in my book. |
Cursive will just not leave me.
Holy crap this band has made an impression with me. Seriously, try and find a better genre band than Cursive. |
"White People" by Handsome Boy Modeling School. I bought it yesterday, and listened to it twice that night.
|
You seem to be raving about a lot.
I'll download it. |
Try "A Day in the Life" Tangy; I managed to like it despite not being a big fan of rap or hip-hop. Features Cedric Bixler doing his best Macy Gray impression, I think.
|
...but I like Hip Hop.
|
Then you'll like HBSM even more, methinks!
|
A lot of it has no rapping at all! It's a very odd album, but it really confirms my belief that Dan the Automator and Prince Paul can guide anyone into cutting a good record. They've got all these unlikely groupings of people, and they manage to not only make them work together, but help them to do some of their best work in any context.
|
I back this up - White People is probably 2004's greatest record.
|
These days I've been on the Pixies bandwagon
|
At The Drive-In are awful, Wide.
You lose.
That was hilarious  x 10 Alt/Indie would be so boring without YDload |
...and without you laughing at him all the time
|
Hey, I could be a jerk who sequesters himself in the R&M all the time in order to be superior to everyone (except Badmoon), but I choose to come here and learn about bands I've never heard of! I don't have to expound my musical ignorance in what I thought was a fairly open-minded subforum, but I do in order to learn!
|
And we love and respect you for it, Ian.
|
YDload, your the smartest retard I've ever come across.
|
This is damaging to my self-esteem. I have to go make fun of noobs in R&M now. I can't take the hideous paradox of being revered in some forums and patronized in others! *tries to slit wrists, but flood of emo tears causes razor to rust*
|
I like your palm-tree though
