What about the hardest Maiden solo?
-------------------------------------

it is Pashendale ! "secret bump"

GurS 06-19-2004 02:41 PM

I think the most tuneful solo is the last one in blood brothers, the slow one in powerslave OR the one from face in the sand

Thunder Fingers 06-19-2004 02:46 PM

I Wouldnt Know, I Play Bass...

GurS 06-19-2004 02:55 PM

i play 12 instruments :D

steve needs a bass solo. and a proper one, not just like iron maiden or number of the beast.

metalmania13 06-19-2004 02:57 PM

I love Maiden, they rock! :chug: :smoke:

GurS 06-19-2004 02:59 PM

aye, that they do

metalmania13 06-19-2004 03:00 PM

No he didnt, you moron

ashman 06-20-2004 01:49 PM

hey does anyone know what bruce whispers on journeyman after like a little instrumental (about 5mins 25secs), 'cos its really bugging me, I only can only make out "chosen path of destruction".

Cheers

GurS some of your worst songs are imo good songs like another life, the nomad and infinite dreams.

Ash

GurS 06-21-2004 02:11 PM

i'm an idiot, in retrospect

i put strange world as the worst song on iron maiden. GOD **** IT it's my joint-best

worst on that album is probs transylvania

Ashman, infinite dreams is a GREAT song. but all the other songs on the album are just better. that album rocks :D Another life is ok, but not as good as the others (unless i'm thinking of innocent exile :/

I don't like the nomad. oh well.

Sandtrap 06-21-2004 03:31 PM

Give me a good song

I haven't heard much Iron Madien. I heard the song 'Iron Madien' and that was alright...and someone told me that the CD with the pyrimid(forget what its called)is really good, tell me some good songs because I'm always up for something new to listen to...

YDload 06-21-2004 03:33 PM

Listen to "Powerslave," the self-titled track from the album "with the pyrimid" on it.

Zomba 06-21-2004 03:58 PM

Whats that i saw Maiden live on the Dance of Death world tour. LAST EVER WORLD TOUR. Nevermind i'll still watch them tour UK still. I personally like Brave New World.

GurS 06-22-2004 06:48 AM

it's not their last ever world tour.

it's just their last HUGE tour.

so instead of doing an 8 month world tour, they'll be doing like 3 or 4 month world tours.

so there. and that means more money can go towards the stage show \m/

Thunder Fingers 06-22-2004 03:03 PM

So... Adrian and Steve is great...

(Worst excuse for an bump EVER!)

Thunder Fingers 06-22-2004 03:05 PM

Steve dont belive in solos, find them unneccisary..(or so i have heard) the closest you can come to an solo from him are the intro to Blood on the Worlds hands..

HondoII 06-22-2004 06:52 PM

bruce has yet to say what he is saying in Journeyman.

YDload 06-23-2004 01:55 PM

Hey everyone, my review of Piece of Mind is up in the CD reviews section. Give it your "unbiased" opinions!

That is an impressive solo, I also like his little solo type riff in only the good die young, great example of the gallop rhythm.

Can almost hear it in the electric version of the song...

MAthiAS 06-24-2004 01:51 PM
Why do people that havent heard much from Maiden always call them "Iron Madien"?
hmm... I've noticed that too... maybe just a constant typo? or maybe their just dumb?

The Clansman...secrets 06-24-2004 11:00 PM

Anyways...on to something else...I see the thread has gone on without me. How is everyone? Fantastic? Good. Well, I had a good idea. What would you think if Rush opened for Maiden. And the Geddy and Steve had a bass off? This goes back to a post I had made a few months back. Anyways...I look forwards to hearing yer comments.

GurS 06-25-2004 03:38 AM

i don't 'do' rush.

better question:

burton or steve?

aye, burton was faster, but he couldn't play in tune worth a **** (neither can the rest of them, though :p). And, well, what did burton ever do, creativley, for metallica? not much. what has steve done for maiden? hmm, i wonder [/sarcasm]

and burton wasn't that much faster either.
