Hey guys. I just got back from Red Lobster. I had some giant-arse plate of seafood and such. It was good. :bellyrub:

In other news, today I got 3 kittens. Only one of them is cool, so me and my dad named it Sgt. Pepper. :p

I never realized how often cat's defocated.

Vince- Sweet deals. :thumb:

magicbus 06-26-2005 10:27 PM

That's the jist of it.

Jake: Thanks, I thought so too. Especially the brand new Dredg for so cheap. I love it :)

Lunch is just a party-pooper, don't mind him.

What genre are Underoath?
Exactly, very predeictable. I love how Steepike is ready for all their repsonses before they even say them.
If you've seen one troll, you've seen them all. I've mentally rehearsed thousands upon thousands of different responses for any cookie cutter insult I'll likely encounter online or otherwise.
What genre are Underoath?
Metalcore I think...or am I thinking of Unearth...I get those two mixed up.

Jom 06-26-2005 10:33 PM
What genre are Underoath?
I was under the impression that they're pop-punk.

EDIT: Unearth are metalcore, so Vince is right.

magicbus 06-26-2005 10:33 PM

Yea, I just got back from the movies.

Jim, are you in town now?

RiceMonster 06-26-2005 10:33 PM

Lunch/JPJ, is entertainment forums working for you? I can't access it.

Metalcore/"hardcore" depending on the retard you talk to.

ATM 06-26-2005 10:34 PM
I was under the impression that they're pop-punk.
Even with the harsh vocals?

What did you think of Land of the Dead?

magicbus 06-26-2005 10:36 PM
What did you think of Land of the Dead?
I thought it was good for a zombie movie, but that's basically all it was. It was definently entertaining, and gorey, but that's about it. IMO.

lunch998 06-26-2005 10:36 PM
Lunch/JPJ, is entertainment forums working for you? I can't access it.
I thought the allegories to the disparity between the wealthy elite and the working class were well-done. Like Dawn of the Dead, Romero wove some very subtle commentary in there.

jpj 06-26-2005 10:38 PM
Neither can I. Strange.
Nor I.

I read in the Post-Gazette (Romero's from Pittsburgh, they had like 5 articles about Land of the Dead) that it Land of the Dead has a lot of social commentary, not just blood and gore. Though I haven't seen it myself.

magicbus 06-26-2005 10:39 PM
Uhh... when did I leave? :confuzzled:
I'm just not sure how the college schedule works. Now that I think about it, you're probably still on summer vacation, but earlier I wasn't sure if you had one or what.

I went swimming in Emerald Lakes earlier. That's what this post is boiling down to.

EDIT: I guess I didn't consider the social commentaries in the film. He did do a nice job of showing how the wealthy have no concern for the poor.

Permanent Solution 06-26-2005 10:43 PM

I don't watch pr0n really.

Nothing really. I just associate things for no reason.

Maybe...I saw your house? (I've got nothing.)

It was there. As I said, one of the prominent themes was the disparity between working class people and the wealthy elite. Remember in the first act when Kauffman blew off Cholo, telling him that bullshit excuse about the committee? That was a fairly accurate allegory to the mentality of today's multi-millionaires/billionaires who see their social class as an exclusive club. The rich want to get richer and they don't want to share their table with anyone else.

Permanent Solution 06-26-2005 10:46 PM
