I thought they weren't selling you strings anymore?

Sablate McNuff 06-25-2010 07:48 PM

No, that was Octave4Plus.

Sablate McNuff 06-25-2010 07:58 PM

I took dayquil and two ibuprofin, and I feel almost high, in some sense. It's interesting. I can totally see the fun in robotripping. This is not something I need to make a habit of doing.

I'm really in the mood to do something, like work on my fretless bass. I wish I had a garage and sweet power tools at my place.

Sablate McNuff 06-26-2010 02:20 PM

I don't care who you are, you haven't lived until you've played a 6+ string bass. These are the way of the future. So versatile and amazing.

gaslight 06-26-2010 09:21 PM

Nah I'll never be on board with that.

4 strings is enough, 5 strings can be convenient, 6 or more is optional.

Lol. Is that an actual clever saying that I've just never heard, or is it a reference to The Office (BBC)?

I don't know where that came from, I've heard it for most of my life.

Epidemechanical 06-27-2010 10:38 AM

hey gaslight how does it feel to live in the worst country on planet earth?

im surprised your second mom (the australian government) hasn't raided your house at 2 am and told you what music was approved and what wasn't while also murdering your pets for shock and awe purposes

i bet you my songs are illegal in your country cause i said a bad word in them

gaslight 06-27-2010 06:12 PM

There has to be something at the pharmacy that can help you.

Epidemechanical 06-27-2010 06:40 PM

Gattsu347 06-27-2010 07:52 PM

iocane power comes from australia, a country entirely run by criminals.

karmapavementplan 06-28-2010 01:06 AM

Gig time in a couple weeks!

gaslight 06-28-2010 02:27 AM

And Americans wonder why people fly planes into their buildings.

EDIT: WOOOOOO FIRST POST PAGE 614! OH SHIT!!!!!!!1
And Americans wonder why people fly planes into their buildings.
hey did you know that when flying into australia you have to declare any adult entertainment you might have on your electronics

thats right you have to surrender it to the australian government

hey did you know that your government has an active web filter that censors massive parts of the internet

hey did you know that your country sucks

gaslight 06-28-2010 08:58 AM

Yeah man, because how dare the government stop people trying to access child p0rnography. That's your right as an American.

FunkMetalBass 06-28-2010 09:33 AM
Yeah man, because how dare the government stop people trying to access child p0rnography. That's your right as an American.
Child p0rnography is dumb. I know plenty of skanky 17-year-old girls that have slept with more people than some of the 30-year-old hookers I know.

FunkMetalBass 06-28-2010 09:36 AM

I wrote a haiku.

Cherry Menthol Cough Drop

So overwhelming -
The Mentholatum cools
Air into my lungs

Disgusting flavor.
Cough suppressing formulas
Only work sometimes.

Horrid cherry breath
Scares off women all day long.
No sex tonight; damn.

its illegal here too nobody is talking about things that are actually bad australia has laws against murder too not all laws are bad

but

did you know that condoning the use of drugs online is illegal under south Australian law

"hey guys weed is fun"

if you say that it'll be a crime

your country rocks

EDIT: just looked it up and its funny because condoning weed use is a crime but actually having less than 100g isn't

lmao

Epidemechanical 06-28-2010 10:05 AM

i guess its kind of remarkable at how effectively the australian nanny state has brainwashed its citizens to believe that being censored and oppressed is for their own good

i imagine quite similar things happen in any authoritarian society

Epidemechanical 06-28-2010 10:12 AM

ps gaslight i love you

i hope you can forgive me for this trespass against your homeland and we can resume being good friends

PaulSimonon 06-28-2010 01:07 PM

Has anyone tried those Korg Nanokey/Nanopad controllers?

I don't know how I feel about the Nanokey being all weird, but the pad looks useful.

Anyone have any suggestions for a cheap controller? Will be using it with reason.

M Audio Axiom 49. has decent drum pads, sturdy, good baseline controller.

FlamingCouch 06-28-2010 03:31 PM

Sweet Jesus, I just saw Paul.

Man oh Mans, I remember the day when you had the avatar with all the gear alternating between words "My name (pic) is not (pic) really Paul (pic)"

And then you were Paul anyways.

Still got that TD-40, my good man?
