Apocalyptic Raids 01-27-2006 06:52 PM
So, Im thinking about doing a write up either by the end of this weekend or the beginning of next. Should I do Sodom, Black label Society, Dillinger Escape Plan, Janes Addiction, Overkill or Cky. (I will eventually do all of them)
Do Sodom \m/

Make Us! Die! Slowly! Nuclear Winterrrr
I love Linkin Park. I still listen to them quite alot.
Everything up to Reanimation was quite enjoyable, but afterwards :-\
hahaha yep. Hybrid Theory was about 8 th grade assuming you are the same age as me.

I threw my copy away
I do believe I'm older. I'm 20. :)

Wha? Shameful  I didn't buy CDs back then heh, I'm still planning to pick it up at some point though. Good thing is all these once popular but not anymore bands is they're easy to find used.
I used to like Linkin Park a lot, but I grew out of it. I still put Hybrid Theory on every once in awhile.
I like Reanimation, Meteora and their EP (forget the name :-\)

Speaking of writeups I have to write up an FA on Bad Religion in the next week :-\

NP: Five Iron Frenzy - One Girl Army (<3 this band)

gmoneyguy 01-27-2006 07:03 PM

your only older by a year. :P

Meteora was ok, but I was really dissapointed with Reanimation (except with Running Away, Crawling and One Step Closer). I never heard their EP.

NP: Nighwish - Wishmaster

Bartender 01-27-2006 07:03 PM

I remember buying Hybrid Theory the same night I went out for a meal with my family (some of it, anyway). The meal wasn't very good.

And just to complicate things in the question of writeups, I'd have quite liked to see one on Jane's Addiction.

My parents would let me get it for some odd reason. (they have chilled way out with my younger siblings) I had to go behind their back and have a friend burn me a copy.

GenuineImitation 01-27-2006 07:08 PM

I will get to all the bands I mentioned. I just want to see which one got the most support. That one will be done first, which is Cky followed by Sodom and then Janes Addiction. I'll decide the order for the others later.

Why wouldn't they let you get Hybird Theory. Ther were no curses or anything out of the ordinary.

NP: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Haha that's funny. My parents hated it when I was in my Korn/Limp Bizkit etc stage. Slipknot made them even angrier.

Things have changed though, last night I realized that I was listening to one of my mom's mix CD's.

Yeah, I've only listened to Reanimation through once. Though some of them were individually good. But I prefer to listen to whole albums :-\

Haha, I hate how parents are like that. My brothers have so many more freedoms than I did.

Shattered_Future 01-27-2006 07:18 PM

Mine too. It sucked.

The only things I liked from Reanimation were Crawling and One Step Closer. I think one other track as well that is escaping my mind at the moment.

My family was like that (except with music and video games). My sister (14) is able to stay out much later than I was able to at that age. Also she is able to see rated R movies, the same movies that my mom said I had wait until I was 16 to see. I found ways to see most of them anyway. I guess parents just get lazy after awhile.

Nostalgia 01-27-2006 07:42 PM

Geez, you had to wait till you were 16 to see R rated movies? god, at age 9 I was watching P0rn. (Kidding)

I found ways around it. I had plenty of friends with parents who didnt care or had older brothers/sisters.

Typical stoner..... Did drugs, broke curfew, got drunk on a regular basis, long hair(its grown back out). luckily I managed to stay away from the cops for the most part, so I have a clean record.

I have a friend that sounds similar to that.

I sold him my paintball gun and the next night I found out he was arrested for shooting at parked cars while high on pot. I thought it was pretty funny. The same kid through a McDonald's hamburger (filled with fireworks) at two hobos giving each other head. One caught it, but he has no idea what happened to him. he said he got the hell out of their.

Needless to say, I keep this friend for humorous stories.
