Check out the thread in Alt/Indie about people not liking Tool. They have a link to SomethingAwful which is an article written by a guy biased against the band.

Alt/Indie sucks for opinions, it always ends up in 'lolz its only teh internet'. But we knew that anyway.

Plus the mods there tend to be as bad as the users

reading the anti-tool thread showed such a large amount of maturity. What MJK said was perfect. Tool arn't the greatest artists according to their technicality, but the sound they make is what makes them Tool. If they became overly obsessed with techniques then it wouldn't be Tool. "Sometimes there is beauty in simplicity".
