haha for YOU...sure....

alright, picture this...

we are at gigantour, 2nd row in the bleachers, and my girl JUST downed her 12th beer. She tells me she wants to leave right when the headlining band finished there first song.

On the way out to the parking lot, I realized i didnt exactly know which way to get out of the city. I asked her for directions since she drove us in. She proceeded to get us lost in some section of the city that didnt look familiar. I decided to ask for directions, which wound up getting us lost even more, if that were possible.

After the second time i stopped for directions, she gets this idea that we are gonna get mugged by some black people down town. This "worry" turns into fright, which then escalates into a down pour of tears, followed by "i want my mommy"

This, at first, kinda surprised me, and i found it humorous, considering its not everyday you hear a grown woman cry for her mommy. After my failed attempts to console her, and the water works were still pouring like a fire hydrant in LA, it really started to bug me.

Being lost + drunk screaming girlfriend = terrible drive home

(wound up meeting mike portnoy and michael romeo, but thats another post)
Thats tough man. Even if you missed Megadeth and had a bad ride home, you got to meet Romeo and Portnoy.

Just got back from the store. I bought:

Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction
Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage
Nightwish - Wishmaster
Led Zeppelin - II
Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?
Seinfeld Season 4 on DVD
for a grand total of 62 American dollars. I had coupons and gift certificates from christmas.
whats dragonforce like?

besides insanely fast/good solos of course
Dragonforce are great!

Is that what you were expecting from me?!

I hate them, I hate how cheesey their image / lyrics are, I hate how the think that playing as fast as possible makes their music good, I just generally hate power metal.

But if you're interesting in farcically fast and sometimes uninteresting musicality, Dragonforce are really the band for you :p!

[/sorry :(]

So, Im thinking about doing a write up either by the end of this weekend or the beginning of next. Should I do Sodom, Black label Society, Dillinger Escape Plan, Janes Addiction, Overkill or Cky. (I will eventually do all of them)

gmoneyguy 01-27-2006 06:14 PM

I just watched some King of Queens and I heard a great exchange.

Wife: "You just reject him because hes old, and that ageism. And thats illegel"
Husband: " I oughta punch you square in the mouth"

That is always fun, and you don't have to drink as much.
folk....
Well then... Best and only folk band ive heard. You changed your avatar eh?

thickasabrick 01-27-2006 06:34 PM

No one even really gets drunk at the parties I go to anymore. Sure people drink, but everyone is experienced enough that they know the right amount to drink to hit that perfect level of inebriation. Plus all my friends are flat broke and can't even afford to get flat-out drunk.

gmoneyguy 01-27-2006 06:37 PM
Well then... Best and only folk band ive heard. You changed your avatar eh?
yep, They have already become one of my favorites bands of all time and they only have one LP and an EP out.

NP: Age of Silence - Acceleration.

Permanent Solution 01-27-2006 06:43 PM

Everyone still gets drunk at the parties I go to. The purpose of parties still seems to be to get drunk. Oh well :-\ (at least I'm no paying heh)

I got a bit over-wasted last time...started shivering and stuff for a bit. Then I drank some water and was good to go :)

NP: Linkin Park - By Myself (Man it feels old school)

Hahaha, yeah, that's about right. Meteora was early HS, but Hybrid Theory was late MS I'm thinking. It's still a good album though :p

Bt anytime I listen to these old 90's bands, good memories I say. Like Lit, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Sum 41...oh it all takes me back :)

Arucard 01-27-2006 06:48 PM

I love Linkin Park. I still listen to them quite alot.
I used to like Linkin Park a lot, but I grew out of it. I still put Hybrid Theory on every once in awhile.
I threw my copy away
