I haven't been to much either. Which concerts were the ones you went to?

If you want alot of shows, go to a festival. I went to download 2005 and now I've seen 30 bands live, my first one was only last year.

Camras are a must if you are me. I can't afford a 60 doller sweater to remember the show. So I take pictures

Well, festivals don't like to come to Calgary. And I can't afford anything. I need a job.

I don't think we have ever had a festival in San Antonio.

We had the worlds fair in 1968....but that was a long time ago...

But Hey I'm gonna be getting my amp for my birthday. The the band is set to rock through the summer. although I should probably save up some money between now and then so we have some sort of P.A sytem.

Singers suck! we have to buy our own guitars and amps..they should buy their own P.A's

So why don't they? What amp are you getting? I just want money for my birthday, so I can go to Aerosmith, or something.

Myspace is a breeding ground for both of them. It must be stopped.

Plus, I hate everyone who uses it regularly.

I like having a place to find quick info and sound on a band, and quick info and pictures for a person. If someone is talking about someone and I'm like who's that they'll give me a myspace, it's like a business card of sorts.

The reason I hate is because of fat girls who post pictures where they look like a completely different person...

If I want info on a band I usually go to google and find their website.

I use metl-archives.com to find info on bands :D It is a really great site.

Metal archives is eGod for metal. They have everything.

I'm pretty excited, since today me and my parents agreed that it's time for a new amp. :)

I'm not sure what amp yet, I still have to look around and try them out. It's definitely going to be a nice one though. Right now my number one choice is a Marshall JCM 2000.

Pfffft, Mesa. I would look at those too, but the Guitar Center near me doesn't carry Mesas, and there's no way in hell I'm putting anything this expensive on my parents' credit card. It's almost guarunteed to be a Marshall, but I don't mind.

I got a Peavey XXX 40W last week, but amazingly i was dissapointed by it...maybe it was a bad one...either way im still sending it back.

I've been working off of a Crate GT3500 for about a year. It's not bad actually. For a solid state, it's surprisingly good, and gets a hell of a lot of volume. Unfortunately, once the volume is turned up where it would be for a gig, the hum and feedback gets pretty overwhelming. I'm hoping for a better rhythm distortion too. Luckily I'll get some good money back by trading it in.

Lucky you're getting an amp. I left my amp at my friend's today. We had an awesome jam session that included more watching tv than actual practice.

Yea I know...I just don't have a good way to make money during winter. My dad
gave me our old lawn customers...but It's not leaf time right now and it's not mowing timne either. During the summer I'll be making about 200 a week off lawns and then I'll also be pressure washing..it take about 6 hours to do a whole
side walk and drive way. But you get 150 a hour!

tickets were 75 bucks a pop...and I didn't want to go alone. Plus I've almost got all the money to buy the amp by myself. So My parents will cover taxes and then probably buy me the 279$ foot controller.

Shadows fallen: you should look into these Valvetronix amps. They are very verstitle they sound nice and warm and they don't get all cruddy sounding when you turn them up.

By spider do you mean the Line 6 amp? A friend of mine has one, and aside from the array of effects, it's nothing.
