Dive into it, it's a different outlook and helps sharpen your critical analytical skills by allowing you to "outside the box" that is modernity.

It's by no means a be-all-end-all theory or even a single unified theory, but just another tool in analysis.

You're a real sharp guy, sometimes I think that because you don't like to associate with other people you don't get the broadened horizon of being around people with various viewpoints, and accept yours as gospel. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can become limiting when faced with someone of equal or greater intelligence (not saying that I am/am not either because that's a silly comparison to make based off someone's strictly online personality) with a well-founded opposing viewpoint.

You're 18 right? I'm not sure what SSRI you are on, but I've been on Zoloft, Pristiq, and good ol' fashioned Prozac and in late adolescence (late teens-early 20s) there is a known risk of suicidality by use of those drugs, by adding alcohol to the mix you are increasing that potential since alcohol is a depressant and in effect works opposite your medication.

Finding people who are more intelligent or equal is pretty hard, yeah

but I do judge the fuck out of people, and facebook is a good medium to do that. Commonality is the only thing that matters with others, without it there is no reason to communicate. Of course we're all human and that is an implied commonality, but other than that you can get into culture, interests, etc. which are found on facebook

im more abrasive than condescending and I am because I've always had that proverbial chip on my shoulder because most do not utilize critical thinking, such as you. You're 20 and dont exhibit it as far as I've known. You're good at cooking and food though, more knowledgable

the only people i've ever known who have killed themselves were drinking while on SSRIs.

Are you considering getting an MBA? I know people talk down on business degrees, but once you get into grad school you ARE going to find people of comparable intelligence levels.

Facebook is a great medium to judge people, but it doesn't detail the true personality, but rather the person's idea of their personality which is 99% of the time far more LOL than the reality of the situation.

Eh, he's oppositional and obstinate. With people like him you have to learn to appeal to their own knowledge set and get your point across by masking it in your appeals. It's just about patience.

You're mostly not worth arguing with about anything, you are a smart person but you're also incredibly dense because you've found a set of principles to hold onto and morph that cater to your lifestyle. Just because I haven't taken philosophy classes doesn't mean that thinking and observation isn't a part of my daily life, I just use it in a way that is vastly different than you do.

A lot of people have long run out of patience to do this though, you're a fairly new reg to R&M, brent has been this way pretty much since he started posting on mx, but he became a lot more condescending and abrasive since he got the ego boost of loosing his v.

I lurked for a while before I started posting, also I am surrounded by people that will never agree with me (living in the bible belt but being a left atheist that gets kicks out of saying shit to evangelicals like "well i'd rather be born against than born again.") so i'm used to having patience with people that are hard to get through to. I've driven while drinking many times, but after nearly avoiding a DUI I will never do that again, I don't know if you know but a drunk tank is the worst part of a jail.

Yea, I got arrested for pot a couple years ago. And almost arrested for the same thing a year later (cop was holding the pill bottle with weed in it in his hand but didn't open it). I got pulled over when I was 16 and hammered going 23 over and somehow got away with a warning. I'll never drive hammered again, it's definitely not worth it.
