i lost interest in anything that Carnifex has been doing past their second album. Nothing i heard past that ever sounded good. They put albums out way too fast and i dont think they put enough time and thought into em.
Dead In My Arms is a fun listen as is Hell Chose Me.

The Diseased and The Poisoned was pretty terrible give or take a couple songs.

alytee123 09-25-2011 08:20 AM

My most vivid memory of Carnifex was seeing them live with Whitechapel, at one point they all held an open low string allowing the guitarists and bassists with 2 free hands each to lift their instruments high in the air, revealing they each had in big letters the word 'Kill' written on the back of their instruments. Bit gay tbh.

MalleusMaleficarum 09-25-2011 09:21 AM

^ Bit gay tbh.

MudIdol 09-25-2011 01:29 PM

Carnifex's song Answers in Mourning makes me lol at the way they completely jacked the breakdown from As I Lay Dying's Through Struggle

witchxrapist 09-25-2011 02:58 PM

Yeah, they fail.

Endangered Oddity 09-25-2011 05:20 PM

Slit Wrist Savior still brings the mosh

Juddybear 09-25-2011 06:45 PM

yeah they have a couple ok songs, stupid mosh stuff is fun sometimes

witchxrapist 09-25-2011 06:47 PM

I actually like a lot of Hell Chose Me, but they get so boring so fast.

Band still fails though.

AfterTheBreakdown 09-25-2011 07:09 PM

Hell Chose Me isn't too bad along with a couple of songs off of the first album.

MudIdol 09-26-2011 06:47 AM

Dead In my Arm's rips. It's retardedly generic but its doing all of the wrong things right. I dunno I can't explain why I love that album so much.

witchxrapist 09-26-2011 09:25 AM

I'm still in love with Count Your Blessings by Bring Me The Horizon, sometimes "shitty" albums are fucking awesome to the individual.

Juddybear 09-26-2011 02:16 PM

off the heezay is a great song tbh, only song of theirs i really like

MudIdol 09-26-2011 03:11 PM

Braille and Black and Blue are pretty good songs too

Endangered Oddity 09-26-2011 04:50 PM

Whole album is Melodeathy fun...with breakdowns.

MudIdol 09-26-2011 05:42 PM

The whole genre is supposed blahgenreblah fun with breakdowns, but people take it too seriously cuz there are examples of excellent deathcore that the fun stuff can't live up to.

Drugstep 09-26-2011 05:59 PM

reading that post actually hurt a little bit

MudIdol 09-26-2011 06:35 PM

Ya know actually I take it back. Shitty deathcore bands take themselves too seriously..still fun to jam to tho

bloozclooz 09-26-2011 08:25 PM

thoughts on the new Molotov solution album?

witchxrapist 09-26-2011 09:00 PM
Braille and Black and Blue are pretty good songs too
Why do people call it Braille? it's in braille on the cover, but it's actually "For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only" in braille...

And that's by far their best song.

Followed by A Lot Like Vegas.

nevertoolate 09-26-2011 09:04 PM

nice dig brohymn

A Lot Like Vegas is prolly my fave then Off The Heezay

witchxrapist 09-26-2011 09:09 PM

Dude, TEOTSY is so so so fucking good.

I'm so glad they did that split with Embrace The End or I'd never know who the fuck they are.

MudIdol 09-27-2011 07:33 AM

I just checked some songs on their Isolation album..Sounds good

witchxrapist 09-27-2011 07:38 AM

They're really fucking good imo. I really like the breakdowns in their songs on the split with Embrace The End, but I think they're a way more mature band now without building songs around said breakdowns.

Like the song Last Requiem is basically the same riff and breakdown back and forth repeatedly, it's good but like...

The stuff on Isolation and their new demo has so much more to it, what with the post rock and post hardcore influence, the black metal parts, the slow ass sludgy parts... they've just really evolved past a generic deathcore band.

MudIdol 09-27-2011 11:07 AM

Imma end up skipping all the slow sludgy stuff. I like my metal fast. I need to start checking out some grindcore.

HighandDriving 09-27-2011 11:59 AM

Sludge is the worst genre eva.

MudIdol 09-27-2011 02:15 PM
