Had it not been for Tyler, I wouldn't have been able to spread it to all of you.

illpressureurhinges1 02-13-2008 08:42 PM

Why? What did Tyler do?

LifeInABox 02-13-2008 08:44 PM

He told me about them in like October.

illpressureurhinges1 02-13-2008 08:48 PM

O I see. Well I guess it payed off for you. Are they really that good? Worth it for me to check them out?

NemesisDivina 02-13-2008 08:50 PM

Non taken. I'm sorry I like my generic shit. But I'll definetely give them a listen.

LifeInABox 02-13-2008 08:54 PM

Can everyone stop real quick and read my first post in this thread then tell me which of those you havn't heard?

Dies Irae 02-13-2008 08:55 PM
Eh, everyone look them up on myspace. That video was the only thing that sounded alright, but it wasn't one of the real songs on the album, it was more of an interlude ish type thing.

EDIT: Until 4:06, then they ****ing of the brain comes in
nah the whole album is pretty boring

needs less octave chords

NemesisDivina 02-13-2008 08:56 PM

I've heard all those except Curl Up And Die. Never even heard of them...

You forgot about Coalesce and Skycamefalling. And Rorschach. And Deadguy. AND Indecision.

LifeInABox 02-13-2008 09:13 PM

That was my next question to vets; should I add?

I almost won a copy of 10.21 on ebay, so I probably should bid on that.

DJTeeLay 02-13-2008 10:54 PM

My band recorded a demo for our upcoming EP.
You can check it out on our purevolume.

If you think we suck, just let me know.
I'm the vocalist, btw.
I do have range, but in this song I was told specifically to stay high the whole time because I have to work on my lows a lot more.

Give constructive criticism if you must.

I suppose you could consider us Metalcore.

illpressureurhinges1 02-13-2008 10:58 PM

Meh. It's alright. Vocals could be better. I think it could be good, just needs work.

DJTeeLay 02-13-2008 11:03 PM

Definitely.

We rushed the vocal part.

You can only hear one of the guitars and you can't hear the double bass.
Meh, whatever.

illpressureurhinges1 02-13-2008 11:05 PM

It's raw. It just needs work and more time.

beans 02-13-2008 11:17 PM

time is metal's best friend, if you rush it, none of it sounds good

DJTeeLay 02-13-2008 11:20 PM

Call us generic, but that's only half of the final song.
The ending has an actually original-sounding breakdown followed by a sick guitar solo considering our new guitarist just stepped out of a glam metal band.XD

Yeah, we have an offer from Concrete Studios which is MUCH more profressional, so we're just gonna get our stuff down and record an 8 track.

We recorded the part we all had down because the guy recording us gave us an offer for free so we took advantage of it.
Definitely.

not bad, and my old bands first recording had a lot of the same issues, most specifically the quiet footwork
