Ha! Blues is one step up from elevator music. But then again, if a certain form of the Blues is on my team in this discussion, then they of course cannot be classified with that description. ;)
Yes!
Fight your own fights, puss! |

;) Fight your own fights, puss!
Blues ROCK he said. Not just plain blues. Hard rock guitars that are influenced by blues guitar and blues vocals. I'll agree theres only a few "blues" artists that keep it interesting. And there was no real fight in the first place. Miik said something and I agreed. |

Do you think my answer changes? And god, you need to learn how to take a joke. |
So you find blues/blues rock boring? But not roots/jam stuff?
Interesting. But the blues is so  How can you deny that smile ----> ? ??? |
The man must only hear city blues.
|
^ That must be it
|
Lets talk about the Blues Brothers. God, I love that movie.
Matt "Guitar" Murphy, The Duck, and Blue Lou are my heroes. |

Matt "Guitar" Murphy, The Duck, and Blue Lou are my heroes.
I've got the soundtrack to the Blues Brothers 2000 movie. Great stuff. The Louisiana Gator Boys > Everything. |
That Bonnaroo DVD was great. Great set of musicians.
|
A Bonnaroo DVD would be awesome. Do they have several or just one DVD and who all was on it?
|
They have a couple.
On mine there was... ----------------------- Jack Johnson Polyphonic Spree Nickel Creek Warren Haynes North Mississippi Allstars The Allman Brothers The Dead Tortoise James Brown Flaming Lips Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon Ben Harper Robert Randolph & The Family Band My Morning Jacket Sonic Youth Widespread Panic Medeski, Martin & Wood Antibalas The Roots Yonder Mountain String Band Ben Kweller Scratch |
That sounds great, I should get one of them.
|
Other than Jack Johnson, that's a great lineup.
|
Most of the people at my school like classic metal and glam.Black Sabbath,AC/DC,Twisted Sister,Motley Crue. I only know two other people that are really into classic rock. My favorites are The Rolling Stones,The Stooges,The Frost The Nazz Led Zeppelin.Mostly garage and psycadelic stuff.

He's one of the best on the list IMO. He perfects harmony between him and his band. I love his album On and On. :) |

123 I want that DVD (mainly for just the big headliners, but i'd watch and enjoy the others). |
They only play one song from each band. But the whole thing is interesting.
Highlights ------------- Flaming Lips The Dead Jack Johnson robert Randolph Nickle Creek James Brown |

it would be better with the other jack johnson |
Jack Johnson is good.
|
it would be better with the other jack johnson
...the old boxer? |
...the old boxer?
No, well yes, that would be cool, but even more cool would be the large black blues guitar man |
Right.
There are too many Jack Johnsons. |
That sucks that they only play one song from each. I think that would end up just making me angry.
