Drunken Viking 01-26-2006 12:32 AM

I can understand the majority on HCDR, the chorus of Needled 24/7 is really catchy.

gmoneyguy 01-26-2006 12:32 AM
Me aswell, Alexi is a really talented technical player. It's a good thing that the vocals weren't put to high in the mix on FtR, cause then I'd never listen to it. Anyone else have trouble hearing the bass on a lot of their songs?
hahaha, ya. The bass can't be that interesting if they drown it out like that.

Edit I cant actuall hear him on AYDY but hes gone to more of a yell then a growl.

Drunken Viking 01-26-2006 12:35 AM

I think that it just isn't put to high in the mix, the bass parts are ok, not terrible. I've noticed this with a lot of bands though, the bass seems to be in audible, bands like Lamb of God, Slipknot, Shadows Fall, some Killswitch Engage songs just seem to not care, it must suck being a bassist for them.

I'm Charming 01-26-2006 12:42 AM

The bass was in your face (no pun intended) live... It almost was too loud in preportion to the guitars.

Banned people should die.. Hehehhehe.

PsychoticFlubber 01-26-2006 08:25 AM

Hmm... I heard rumors about Bodom making another video for a song off of AYDY?... does anyone know anything about this? I also heard something about newer live videos being around, if anyone knows where to get them, please let me know. Actually... just killing time right now... stupid Computer coarse for another hour or so... it feels like my brain is leaking through my ears from boredom.

GenuineImitation 01-26-2006 11:35 AM

Does Bodom have any DVD's?

repcak 01-26-2006 11:44 AM

i don't think so... they should make one...

GenuineImitation 01-26-2006 11:46 AM

They should. A live DVD would be amazing.

repcak 01-26-2006 12:35 PM

i'm just started to learn "lake bodom" on guitar... great song :D

It si. I still cant get down the intro. I have everything else down, but I cant play the intro at the proper speed. Any recommendations?

Confessed2005 01-26-2006 12:42 PM

Just practice it slow at first and build it up. Despite my epic nOObness I do hope that small piece of insignificant advice is useful. Has anyone heard any of their material when the band were called 'Inearthed'?

Thats what I have been doing for the past few months. Im much faster with it now, but I find myself making stupid mistakes or playing it much slower.

I have heard of Inearthed, but none of their music.

How are you playing it? If you're playing it really low on the neck (near the headstock), you're making it hard for yourself. If you play it higher on the neck there are less finger rolls involved.

Thats a good point. Stupid GuitarPro making my life difficult. How would I change it on GP to show where else I can play it?

Toaster 01-26-2006 12:52 PM

I don't have GP, sorry. I could tab out just the intro lick if you want. (On Powertab.)

repcak 01-26-2006 01:09 PM

i just started to learn it, but i don't think i will have problems with the proper speed... its not sooo fast.

the riff is great :D now i only have problems with:
2-3-5
0-3-2
in the proper speed... and i play it too sloppy

edit: does anyone knows where i can get the tabs of the intro to passage to the reaper? at the beginning alexi and roope make a warm-exercise... very short; only about 10seconds - afterwards the play vivaldi.

GenuineImitation 01-26-2006 01:17 PM

I dont have powertab :upset:

gmoneyguy 01-26-2006 01:37 PM
I dont have powertab :upset:
I dont think you can get powertab any more.... Same reason why there is no more MXtabs.

Toaster 01-26-2006 01:41 PM

I never used it for getting tabs online.. is that why everyone is using GP now? Mysongbook or whatever?

GenuineImitation 01-26-2006 02:00 PM

Pretty much...I used GP before the whole tab crusades.

IheartSP 01-26-2006 02:06 PM

I've been using guitar pro for over a year now, it kills powertab.

GenuineImitation 01-26-2006 02:08 PM

I have never used powertabs because I heard GP was much better.

Toaster 01-26-2006 02:27 PM

It just seems way more complicated for tabbing. I tried it once, and Powertab just seemed much more intuitive.
