Their stats don't catch up to what they would normally be if you just train them normally though, and you run out of the number of supplements you can use after a while.

Nah dude back in the day EV's werent capped but the supplements were. Someone who actually trained their pokemon fighting the right pokemon to 100 would rape RC people.

Like I said, I only did it out of boredom once I had nothing left to do. I already had a few 100s and wanted to start levelling the rest up for some reason.

Venusaur sucked balls. Poison was the worst type in that game period because psychic owned everything else up and down stats-wise anyways.
