How can you be let down? Just don't go into it expecting a 5/5 masterpiece and you'll like it. And hell, you might think it's a classic. A lot of people do, I just dont.

Even our humble Dargon used to think it was a 5/5 so that's gotta be worth something!
They actually look pretty promising from their MA page, I'm going to listen to them soon.

LifeInABox 12-16-2007 09:43 PM

You havn't heard them either?

NemesisDivina 12-16-2007 09:43 PM

Kylan, wtf? You haven't heard Lykathea Aflame but you've heard random ass bands like Afflicted?

You crazy, boy

Their one album and disbanded line-up and new album that's never coming out looks pretty promising?

LifeInABox 12-16-2007 09:46 PM

What if that album really did come out.

Tyler 12-16-2007 09:48 PM

If it does it'll be disappointing because it'll have been at least 8 years.

NemesisDivina 12-16-2007 09:49 PM

 There was a report released a long-*** time ago that the new album would be recorded in summer of 2006. What a bunch of douchebags.

sounds good to me

@Harry B. Price
no, I remember I found you a link a long time ago but never listened

@ND
dude Afflicted is awesome, good find, you'd probably like em too.

LifeInABox 12-16-2007 09:50 PM

No you didn't, I found that link myself. I remember the date too, it was September 3rd.

NemesisDivina 12-16-2007 09:51 PM

LifeInABox 12-16-2007 09:52 PM

Haha, I'm going to fix that.

that's actually a bit weird that you know that.

LifeInABox 12-16-2007 10:01 PM

It was the day before I went back to school. It was on The Last Sound too, if you want it.

rattlehead42147 12-16-2007 10:13 PM

nah i'll get it here in a few days.

Deth 12-16-2007 10:20 PM

Are there any other bands like Pavor that just have the most over the top bass playing known to man? I don't even like Pavor that much, but it's so funny how much the bass is overplaying.

Tyler 12-16-2007 10:22 PM

Nah but they certainly are ****ing hilarious. Furioso just makes me giggle every time.

Deth 12-16-2007 10:25 PM

INCONSISTENT CLAYBLOOD TOTEMIST

wtf does that even mean?

Valhall 12-16-2007 10:58 PM

So I was listening to an Impending Doom song. They don't have breakdowns really; for the most part they're straight goregrind/death metal.

But I saw this breakdown coming from a mile away.

I couldn't stop laughing when it hit. Sooo predictable.

i am the robots 12-17-2007 12:20 AM

Impending Doom is lame as hell.

Finish oldschool scene anybody?

suspect 12-17-2007 10:47 AM

I have never listened to a song by Death, but lately I've been feeling urges to find out what I've been missing. Which album is their most monumental?

pate 12-17-2007 10:52 AM

Individual Thought Patterns or Leprosy

Angmar 12-17-2007 10:55 AM

Human for sure.

Deth 12-17-2007 11:24 AM

Yeah, for the one album they'll be remembered most for, it's probably Human.

Demigod perhaps?

I think they're all great in their respective ways.

I was thinking Depravity, they pull off the whole evil riffs and uber low vocals cliche of that scene so well. Silence Of The Centuries is like aural sex.

take it from a Death fanboy, you could listen to all their albums (except Spiritual Healing or Scream Bloody Gore, which are both good albums, just not good to start with) and be extremely pleased by what you hear. If you wanna get into Death, I'd say start with The Sound of Perseverance, as that's the one that I started on and I've been hooked on Death ever since. My favorites are Symbolic and Leprosy. However, a lot of people seem to like Human a whole lot. I do as well, just not as much as most.

RetiredAt21 12-17-2007 07:42 PM

Scream Bloody Gore is my favorite Death album. Pretty much the only one I listen too, actually.

AA-12 12-17-2007 07:43 PM

Mine is Individual Thought Patterns or The Sound of Perseverance.
