Baseball.

(Sorry for the one-word posts, but how else am I going to answer?)
Just throw in a NP at the end of your post, and it looks like it has more substance.

NP: Mogwai - Summer

Dancin' Man 06-11-2005 05:07 PM

I'm usually not a big baseball fan but lately I've been getting more interested. It's fun to watch with friends and food.

I still prefer watching/playing football

And ultimate frisbee = best sport to play ever.

Watching soccer isn't half as fun as playi8ng it because they are all so good that they play the way you're supposed to. They play their positions and aren't really showy and it's all so spread out. It often feels like you're waiting for the action. **** do those guys run a lot though. In terms of that style of sport I prefer watching hockey.

Football (Soccer) is so popular in England its unreal. Its actually really annoying.

Well wherever you go its aload of chavs in track suits and football shirts, and when i come back from gigs and practice after a football game on the train i get abused by drunken skin heads.

ATM 06-11-2005 05:11 PM

I love soccer. I played it from age 4 until about 17.

Illmatic 06-11-2005 05:12 PM

to watch: Basketball > baseball > American football > football/soccer > hockey

Niggas don't like hockey. Basketball is clearly #1 and the next three are pretty close.

to play: Basketball > golf > baseball > American football > football/soccer > hockey

ATM 06-11-2005 05:14 PM

Soccer can be very very boring to watch, even for me. But when you actually care about the result, and you are cheering for your favorite club, it can be amazing.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-11-2005 05:14 PM

Ultimate Frisbee does own. As well as Volleyball. Indoor is fun, but man, beach volleyball is killer. :p It's such a blast to just sacrifice your body for no apparent reason. You can do that in both of those sports.

During one of my tennis matches this year, I actually dove for a ball. It was an extremely unimportant point too. We were up like 30-love or something, but I still did a full lay out dive. :p

sadly, we still lost the point

Illmatic 06-11-2005 05:17 PM

I only watch soccer during World Cup time, so I do care when I watch it.

Also, in basketball you sacrifice your body a lot. 9 times out of 10 when you drive to the hoop in a pickup game you're gonna get knocked down.

Arucard 06-11-2005 05:17 PM

Ahh, i bet you looked silly too.

Dancin' Man 06-11-2005 05:18 PM

Frisbee is the most selfless sport ever. I get so intense when I'm playing and end up running way more than my body wants me too. I love that game with all ym ehart. I'm seriously debating joining a summer league but it's $25 I don't have to do so.

Illmatic 06-11-2005 05:19 PM
Ahh, i bet you looked silly too.
Well, not really. It just gets really intense...you always throw your body at someone going up to the hoop because layups and dunks are the easiest points in basketball, so you have to make a guy work for them.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-11-2005 05:20 PM

Last weekend, I was playing soccer with a bunch of my friends, and my friend brought his older brother, who brought his 8 year old nephew. The 8 year old had the ball, and I was right by him, and I let him go by me, and then I uhhh...slide tackled him. (a)

I felt bad because he scraped his knee. :p

World Cup soccer is great. I might make the trip to Germany for the '06 competiton.

That comment was aimed at Jake. And yah, i wish i played sport, all i do is long distance running :/

Video tape of Chip and Dale's performers.

Joe - My friend is a hardcore distance runner. Does XC and indoor and outdoor track. It sucks because he's so far ahead of everyone else in our school in terms of talent that he doesn't have anyone but himself to push him in training but he's always second or third at big meets which must suck.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-11-2005 05:26 PM
That comment was aimed at Jake. And yah, i wish i played sport, all i do is long distance running :/
In that case, of course I looked silly. Diving+Cement=rofl

I tried out for cross country this past fall. I quit on the 9th day due to the suckiness. At our school, we have this 10 day practice rule where, if you quit that sport after the tenth day of practice, you lose 25% of your next playing season. I got out just in time.

Oh.

Well, yeah. I couldn't imagine running...my gf ran track and I always ask her why.

Debbie Does Dallas

Er, actually, I dunno. What types of movies does she like.

I love goofing around with lacrosse. I'm not that abd but glad I don't really play because I hate getting hit by stuff. Checking and everything is cool with me but getting hit with a stick is not.

Her favorite movie is Bourne Identity. Any ideas?

Arucard 06-11-2005 05:27 PM

Ha, i only run as a bonding thing with my Dad. Difference is, he always kicks my butt. Last race i came 160 out of 600 and he came really high up. It was a 5k and my time was 22 minutes.

THose guys are hardcore. I live in Lacrosse central though. It was invented near where I am (central NY is big in Lacrosse. Cornell has a good lacrosse team and I'm near SU)

And shut it. What kind of a man knows how to spell Chippendale's anyway?

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-11-2005 05:29 PM

Theres nudity in it, but it's also a chick flick. Can't go wrong with that.
