Derek Trucks is one of the greatest slide guitarists ever. Not just talent wise, but knowledge wise. He has reasons why he uses it.

He supposebly wants to get intact with Indian scales, and could only get them through slide. Being that there are no intervals or really exact notes when you lack frets.

I was listening to some Allman stuff the other day and I thought "This guy is crazy with his slide!" He does a lot of great stuff with it.

classic rock is the real music , no wonder young people (like me) prefer to listen music by led zeppelin , the doors , cream, ccr, pink floyd , black sabbath , rory gallagher , deep purple ...

when you see what band take examples from these classic rock bands => metallica , maiden , pantera, ...

in pantera's "revolution is my name" video they show a zeppelin lp , dimebag dresses up as gene simmons from kiss , ozzy's appearing in the videotoo ...

anathema plays pink floyd covers at there shows , even korn covered the wall ( EVEN KORN ) ,type o negative covers black sabbath on there shows and says " this is music you're parents listend to "

and now I'm am making this to long so nobody will bother reading this ...
