They were making a video? Awesome.

NP: Motorhead - Fight (Inferno is great, everyone pick it up if you haven't. It's just as good as the other essential Motorhead LPs)
As far as I know, it's under production >_<.

I need to hold off on the music for a while. I can't wait to get that Sodom DVD though.

By the description of it, sounds like it will be KICK***!

MAthiAS 09-14-2005 10:18 PM

Is Sodom's tour still on?

RavenousMetalist87 09-14-2005 10:32 PM
Is Sodom's tour still on?
I'd like to go. According to what I had read about Finntroll, it was still on.

I heard some Finntroll though already. Funny stuff. I just want to get in the middle and start kicking everyone trying to dance to polka-metal
Is Sodom's tour still on?
Well if you even want to consider it a tour. They are playing like 6 or 7 dates all on the East Coast, which I'm pissed about, because I told this really awesome chick that I would take her to see the show because she loves Finntroll and I love Sodom, but I guess that dosen't get to happen, because I'm on the West Coast

MAthiAS 09-14-2005 11:02 PM

Whereabout on the West Coast?

This is one of the few times I'm glad to be on the East Coast :D

Sacramento, California a.k.a. "Sactown", "Testicle Town", "The Capital that no one cares about", "Over shadowed by LA and SF", "Emo Heaven", and last but not least "Gay"

Yeah, pretty lame here

I thought that was here...

That sucks though man, I was hoping you'd be in the Bay Area.
No wonder i'm so bad.... i play for about 30 mins a day.
I don't know how people can practice for more than an hour at once. The most I've practiced in a day is like 2 hours, and the most at once was about 1 hour. I do play drums though, so maybe it's different than guitarists

well 30 mins is only an estimate. I just pick it up and play whever i'm bored/feel like playing a song, rather than setting myself out a specific amount of time for playing.

RCA 09-15-2005 06:14 PM

I learned how to play a few phrases from the opening solo to 'One Shot At Glory' today. :chug:

Terrorzone 09-15-2005 06:32 PM

That is an awesome song. I wish there were guitarist like you people around here. The most common thing people want to play is hardcore.

Freezing Moon 09-15-2005 06:47 PM

That's the most common thing most places I think. It is here too, anyway.

There are tons of horrible bands, and 1 or 2 good ones, which last I heard were split up. :(

I want to start a band, but nobody agrees with my musical tastes :p.

I checked out Exhorder and I think they're pretty good so far.

RCA 09-15-2005 07:01 PM

Slaughter In The Vatican = awesome.

Terrorzone 09-15-2005 07:03 PM

Yeah, its amazing how much Pantera ripped off Exhorder.

RCA 09-15-2005 07:06 PM
Yeah, its amazing how much Pantera ripped off Exhorder.
Yeah, down to Kyle Thomas's vocals and everything. Though, they ripped off The Law more than anything. I can't hear anything in Pantera's music that sounds like it could've been on SitV.

Terrorzone 09-15-2005 07:16 PM

Yeah, thats because SITV is ****ing brutal thrash and Pantera is pseudo-thrash that can't touch the greatness achieved on that album.

Freezing Moon 09-15-2005 07:17 PM
Slaughter In The Vatican = awesome.
Indeed.

I used to like Pantera when I first discovered metal, but I soon grew away from that. They're okay now and then, but they definitly don't come CLOSE to touching this album. :)

/on the second listen.

RCA 09-15-2005 07:18 PM

I think I shall give it a spin! :D

Freezing Moon 09-15-2005 07:22 PM

Excellent. :)

Hydra Vein is next, followed by maybe some Vio-lence or Mekong Delta.

/on a thrash rampage.

RCA 09-15-2005 07:22 PM

MEKONG DELTA! I <3 them.

Freezing Moon 09-15-2005 08:30 PM

How is Melkong Delta - S/T compared to their other stuff?

I've only heard the s/t (I'm listening to it now :)), and it does indeed fucking slay.

If you love the s/t, you'll die when you hear The Music Of Erich Zahn and Dances Of Death.

Freezing Moon 09-15-2005 08:44 PM

Bah, I was hoping they sucked so I didn't have to check out anything else, :p.

That attitude will get you nowhere in the world of thrash. :p
That attitude will get you nowhere in the world of thrash. :p
I know, I know, haha. I will look into them.

I already downloaded a few albums today so I'm trying not to do any more at the moment and the list is getting bigger by the second. Maybe you can eliminate some of these that suck off of my list...

List:
Whiplash, Apocalypse, Evildead, Devastation, Turbo, Deathrow, Cyclone Temple, Living Death, Slaughter, Blood Feast, Demolition Hammer (I've heard some of this, not too bad), Sacrifice, Violator.

There is more, but those are the most recent additions of random bands that I've wanted ot hear.

RCA 09-15-2005 08:54 PM

Here is the revised list:

Whiplash, Apocalypse, Evildead, Devastation, Deathrow, Cyclone Temple, Slaughter, Demolition Hammer, Sacrifice, Violator.

Freezing Moon 09-15-2005 08:57 PM

:D

Thanks.

I am still yet to get through your thrash recommendation list for a while ago also, and I have downloaded Lunar Aurora (yet to listen to it). I should do that now, but I'm enjoying King Diamond at the moment.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-15-2005 08:57 PM

Check out Sauron too.

Oh, definitely spin that Lunar Aurora after the King is done. :D

And yes, get some Sauron too.

Freezing Moon 09-15-2005 09:00 PM

Sauron happens to be one of the bands I got today, :).

Nice to know I made a good choice.
