Yeah, Black Rose Immortal lasts the exact time it takes for me to drive to my sister's house, ha, It's class.

\m/

The first time I listened to it on the way over and it finished I was like

TojesDolan 08-08-2006 08:54 PM

Consider traffic brother. :p

Stoo 08-08-2006 09:04 PM

Lol yeah.

But the first time I ever tried it, it was perfect.

pate 08-08-2006 09:11 PM
I hope the play either Grand Conjuration, Bleak, Ghost Reveriea or Leper Affinity. I'll a happy camper then.
Do you mean Ghost of Perdition?

Morfiend 08-08-2006 10:08 PM

I hope Opeth really changes their style up with their next release. I'm a big fan and GR was solid but the band seems to be running out of ideas.

Carrionshine 08-08-2006 10:10 PM

Just thinking out of my ass right now, I'll guess that they will play

Ghost of Perdition
Deliverance
To Rid The Disease
TCG
Demon of the Fall

That's about the best guess anyone can have, unless they pull something random like Moonlapse Vertigo or Harlequin Forest.

TojesDolan 08-09-2006 01:07 AM

I want to see Opeth live. That'd make my life brighter.

pate 08-09-2006 01:38 AM

I have twice. My life is now brighter.

Nostalgia 08-09-2006 02:46 AM

I haven't once. My life blows.

Tyr 08-09-2006 07:26 AM

To see Opeth live is to take a huge step towards fulfillment.

TojesDolan 08-09-2006 10:22 AM

I suppose. Any good, real band live should make my life complete considering my current stage, haha.

anyone know the next time they'll be in Toronto? =]

penelope weird hands 08-09-2006 10:32 AM

Seeing Opeth live was great.
A good experience and memory.
However, it doesn't really change shit.

Jev 08-09-2006 11:08 AM

My friend dragged me away from Opeth at Download 2004. Had he done that now, I would've kicked him in the teeth.

FR33L0RD 08-09-2006 11:42 AM

Opeth Rules

hyper orchestral metal music
with some death metal feature...fusion_jazz influence....progressive rocks

very complex & interesting band...never bored

TojesDolan 08-09-2006 11:52 AM

Maybe not orchestral but enthusiasm is good.

I guess.

Ephemeral 08-09-2006 02:18 PM

I'd describe them as more Melodic than Orchestral.

TojesDolan 08-09-2006 02:31 PM

Indeed.

What happened to our secret spot Jeff? Why is is blocked with a gigantic rock, anyway? :(

I agree.

Is freelord a noob?

Shattered_Future 08-12-2006 11:28 AM

He likes Opeth, mate. That's a start.

Now to give him the correct definition...

Anglachel 08-12-2006 11:32 AM

Well, having spent the majority of my mx-lifetime in the Pit, I wouldnt be surprised if he was someone acting new to get a conversation going or to piss someone off.

Thor 08-12-2006 11:33 AM

Probably just for conversation purposes, but it's not all that important.

...so who's seeing Opeth on Gigantour this year?

Anglachel 08-12-2006 11:39 AM

I would.

I Want Them Now!!!!!@!!!

Thor 08-12-2006 11:41 AM

I would be seeing them in one of the Floridian cities, but I've got a competition with my school's band to go to which is beyond lame.

This year's Gigantour lineup is orgasmic.

Shadows 08-12-2006 11:43 AM

This year's Gigantour doesn't sppeal to me much at all.

Sucks man

Really? I drool at the mouth whenever I hear Megadeth, Opeth, Lamb of God, Arch Enemy, Into Eternity, and more playing together.

Shadows 08-12-2006 11:52 AM

Opeth is the only band out of those that I would go out of my way to see. I've already seen Arch Enemy, and even though I wouldn't mind seeing Lamb of God and Into Eternity, it's nothing I'm going to kill myself over. I really don't like Megadeth on top of that.

Shattered_Future 08-12-2006 12:14 PM

Hopefully my friend got tix. I'm mainly going for Into Eternity and Arch Enemy. \m/

Opeth would be my top if I already hadn't seen the majesty that they are live, but they're still nothing to sneeze at. I'd love to see them again. As for the rest, I could really care less about them...there's a few that I want to check out for a few songs, but otherwise they're all meh.

Cept for some reason, it said Eighteen Visions was playing at PNC with Gigantour. If that's true, I know when my food break is. :smash:

You go last year?

Txus 08-12-2006 11:16 PM

Gigantour will be awesome.

Opeth + Into Eternity + Megadeth = Live Orgasms.

And its not coming to my town! I am so pissed about that, Opeth live would be amazing.

On a slightly less disapointing note, where did the 'Look your last upon the sun' shirt come from?

I liked it so I ordered it but I dont know where that phrase came?

Anyone know?

Darkness 08-13-2006 12:44 AM

Probably just a line Mikael made up during the Damnation era.

I have that shirt.
