And you can very well release a CD on sunday, and have it stores on Monday. After all its Tool. They do odd things.
They still have the single star in the equation which stands for one day preassumebly.

ThirteenthStep 07-11-2005 11:46 PM
Ive always wondered that.

Area 51 is related to the ending of lateralus. But I dont seem to see a connection of it with what the new album is supposed to be about
duuude u guys think theyre gonna connect lateralus and this album????????????????????????????????

TerryThorne 07-11-2005 11:47 PM

like resequencing both>?

Mr Herb 07-11-2005 11:47 PM
we took that into consideration, the math can also prove a point for the 26th, which would be logical since its a monday. but the 25th is the last quarter and some math also proves 25th as a point. 26th is international tool day, so im guessing thats the day.
Id go with the amth for 26.

But tis true you could ship a cd for a due date of the 25th. . .and not be able to have it out simply because the stores are not open.

Magicaltroll 07-11-2005 11:47 PM
duuude u guys think theyre gonna connect lateralus and this album????????????????????????????????
That would be interesting...

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-11-2005 11:47 PM

I honestly think that they will.

Mr Herb 07-11-2005 11:48 PM
duuude u guys think theyre gonna connect lateralus and this album????????????????????????????????
Maybe. . .lol I really doubt it thou

I hope they do

Or it could be the 25th, because people that preordered it (if thats even possible with this release) could get it on that day.

I don't think this album will be as organic as Lateralus. I think it's gonna be more mechanical like Meshuggah but not in the same sense. The synths on the drums and the effects on guitar will probably give it a sci-fi feel this time around.

As for linking it together Faaip De Oiad was probably a prequel.

Dude3 07-11-2005 11:49 PM
duuude u guys think theyre gonna connect lateralus and this album????????????????????????????????
I do. Maybe, and this is just a theory:
Lateralus was more about Us. Humans, and human interaction. Lateralus ended with the whole Area 51 thing. That is a combination of US and Them(humans and extra terrestrial, outer space crap). Then the next album will cover the interaction of Them.

TerryThorne 07-11-2005 11:49 PM

But lateralus the track talked about 'spiraling out' so it could 'spiral' out to the next album

Mr Herb 07-11-2005 11:50 PM

i like dannys electronics on slow songs like H or on slow parts. . .but for a whole bucnh of songs? :(

Dustin_James 07-11-2005 11:51 PM

The 25 makes sence... lol what dicks. Yeah the CD is out... can't buy it though. Wait some more...

till a monday.

Mr Herb 07-11-2005 11:51 PM

LOL Lateralus that is. . . I doubt that. . .it wasnt in the ending of the album. . .

Like I said a post above you that Faaip De Oiad was proablaby a prequel.

I think that makes a lot of sense.

Dude3 07-11-2005 11:52 PM

I'm going to make a bowl of cereal

possibly the astronomy/moon connection will connect with a more space/extraterrestrial theme, maybe like expand on the idea of "possibilities" in lateralus, to something more extreme..

Magicaltroll 07-11-2005 11:53 PM

Don't worry, its Tool.

Just for everyone to see what I think.

TerryThorne 07-11-2005 11:53 PM

Faaip De Oiad is just too weird of a track and its at the end

Moses 07-11-2005 11:54 PM

Either heavily Sci-Fi or very primal in a sense.

Magicaltroll 07-11-2005 11:54 PM

Deadohiosky
You never answered to how you knew Blair. Can you answer? I'm pretty curious.

TerryThorne 07-11-2005 11:55 PM

cause he is Blair!!!

ThirteenthStep 07-11-2005 11:56 PM
Either heavily Sci-Fi or very primal in a sense.
whatever it is...i have a feeling its gonna be HUGE, and so bad *** its not even funny... the mechanics and math behind it is gonna be intense. i mean this much for a release date???

and how about the whole theyve been working on it for almsot 2 years. pretty nuts. and yeah they talked aobut meshuggah style drumming, which is...CRAZY.

deadohiosky9 07-11-2005 11:56 PM

Its an interesting story, kind of lucky. I have a cousin who lives in LA, and I went there during my vacation to visit him, and he knew I was a huge Tool Fan, as is my cousin, and he introduced me to Blair. Somehow he and my cousin were well acquainted.
Don't worry, its Tool.

true lol.

Peeps go over to the farm at the toolnavy.com, they took a pretty hard shot at the 25th release date. . . any opinions on what they said?

Magicaltroll 07-11-2005 11:56 PM

And "Them" (aliens) are pretty advanced supposedly, and aliens are advanced. And we've heard this one will be more technical. So maybe all that links together as well?

ThirteenthStep 07-11-2005 11:57 PM
cause he is Blair!!!
hmmm maybe he is....i have an idea. everyone keep checking toolband.com

if anythings updated. then who knows, blair might be in here
