Ugh, or you could listen to some good music.
Anyways, I have a headache and am feeling rather grumpy. |
As taste broadens and expands, some listeners become uninhibited –taking everything in as a result of natural open-mindedness-, while others refine their tastes, be it to a certain genre, era or lyrical theme.
I'm having a brain fart with grammar and structure. The -, looks weird. Jelle or anyone else, any ideas as to how I can rework this sentence? I suppose I could lose the comma. |

You could always use a comma... |
Make it two sentences. 90% of the time, the key to effective writing is: See Spot Run. Spot Can Run. Die, Spot, die.

Yeah for sure. My overall goal with this essay is to refine and simplify, this is just a first draft. Thanks. The prof is a communications/linguistics machine so I have to be really, really careful. The entire paper is on semiotic analysis, and seeing as how this guy basically made a career in semiotic analysis, I probably shouldn't have waited until the last minute. |
You could do
...some listeners become uninhibited and take everything in as a result of... Maybe not as professionalistic sounding. |
The - is the comma.
I figured. Dashes confuse me. He also wants us to refer to these books and readings, and I found a quote by one of the authors but I dont have the actual book, and I'm not even sure if it's from the book we were supposed to refer to. God I'm bad at time management. |
Your rather dashing, Tyler.
|
You Are.
We'll be like, yo Stan wut up? /black metal screamz

Your rather dashing, Tyler.
I have no Rather Dashing, my good man! |
Yeah, profs and editors and people like that really hate run on sentences. =(

ATTN: Eurofags and Amerikkkans
Do you guys have V, the drink, in your country? |
If you're talking about the energy drink thing, I don't think so.
We have V8 which is a different thing. |
We have V8 too, which is what I should be drinking, but I don't because it tastes like Foster's. At least V the energy drink only tastes like roo balls. The scientist in me recoils at the crap in this drink, but the Uni student in me is grateful for the temporary sugar hit.
|
I hate energy drinks.
|
I hate Red Bull, Mother and xXspinkicksXx.
|
Nothing wrong with spinkicks.
|
There is everything wrong with spinkicks, dude.
|
So true. So true.
|
Is V8 the vegetable juice?
|
Yeah it is.
|
Yeah.
|
As per the Simpson's episode when Rock Hard has to apologise for all the stories they sensationalised/made up over the past few years.
"Oh, wow, V8 isn't really made from diesel fuel!" |
Yeah
|
My dad gave my Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas to read yesterday, and said he has the movie around
at what time should I watch this? |
When you're stoned tbh.
|
I'm gonna agree with Kage.
|
I figured as much :)
EDIT: Nevermind, he mistook the actual movie for Where the Buffalo Roam :-\ |
Out of curiosity, have you ever smoked?
|
Um yes wtf
|
Well, you're like 8 years old, so it's understandable.
|
Um yes wtf
