yea I'm a bit confused too, if he means pinstripe with the thin tape, then I don't see the need to primer. And when you say you can't wrap it, there actually is an option for you. You can just get that vinyl wrap that has a sticky back on it, it works great, my friends dad had a bunch of rolls of it in every color you can think of and I did my whole drumset. I did my bass in gold, and my snare in silver crackle. If you do it right it looks just as good and is just as durable as the glued on wraps.

Pinstriping can be done with paint.

I'm an artist and I've stained drums before.

It's un wrappable becuase it's metal and has ridges. I would look bad on the drum and would be a pain in the *** to do.

I took the ACT's today. Man that sucked. I was like one of three seniors from my school there, but one of them was this gorgeous girl that I've befriended in the past few days so that was cool. 1. Go get LAID! (doesnt have to be perfect, itll feel good. Chances are the girl doesnt want commitment either if you just met her and did her)

2. Drink some BEER! (may be helpful before step one):chug:

3. Get laid again, then get RED BULL and YAGAR. Take shots.

4. Go to wallmart in your friends van, with all your friends. (or by yourself... other people are pretty much required in all these plans)

5. Buy toilet paper, eggs, saran wrap, and flour. (gross amounts of all of it)

6. then break something IN wallmart. The yagar eariler will make this feel REALLY REALLY good.

7. Scram from wallmart, but before you do squeeze ALL the reece peanut butter cups in the packages without buying them. Just give em' a good squeeze, the twinkies to. (this ministep is optional. Its like saying, would you rather have 99% fun or 100% fun? Who hell knows the difference? Is there one? What in the **** is a funometer?)

8. After scramming from wallmart, go back to base (your house or friends house where parents are preferibly not home)

9. At base, fill your friends in with the plan and take shots. Before each shot heartily exclaim "Never this young again!"

10. Take the saran wrap, tp, and eggs to the nearist homeless shelter. This is where stuff starts getting shady. Call me when you get there.

it reinforces everything that ive said about dw, and this is all from another point of view of experience, that doesnt mean i made up everything, that means he has hands on experience where what i say is purely observational.

That was definitly an interesting artical to read.

It is true that DW gets a bit too much hype - people tend to think of them as the ultimate drums when starting out, and view them with awe. I got mine while looking at a ton of other top of the line alternatives... I just happened to find a good deal on a finish combo I dreamed about.

Though I haven't seen any hardware failures on this kit... not to mention it IS more than 7 years old and holding up nicely.

have you gigged it? see if it was a good edal like you say, then it would make sense, but to order it new when you have all these other options is another thing
