cypress hill and public enemy started at the same time.

i was perplexed till i decided to go to pe since they ended a half hour earlier

descendents1 10-31-2007 03:08 AM

Built to Spill are pretty boring live. It's a bunch of background noise with cycled images and the Doug Martsch Guitar Solo show.

Their studio albums are amazing but live is WHY DO A 20 MINUTE ENCORE VERSION OF RANDY DESCRIBED ETERNITY?

Kyle 10-31-2007 07:12 AM

Animal Collective were awesome last night :)

When I got there the people doing interviews were split up with different band members, but I got to interview Panda Bear so I was more than happy with that. He was such a nice guy, we chatted about the new album, playing live and bands he was into and stuff like that. It lasted about 20 minutes, I got to watch them soundcheck, got put on the guestlist for the show and PB signed my Strawberry Jam vinyl for me :D Great night.

Here's the vinyl
Is Girl Talk playing in Brissy? If so I am there for sure.
Yeah, at the Troubadour on the 3rd of Jan.

Soy Dios 10-31-2007 07:57 AM

that's probably the best signature i've ever seen

Oh really? I should go!

Lukeh 10-31-2007 09:57 AM

I saw Animal Collective in a 500 seating church on Monday and was really disappointed by the sound.
They didn't play any songs from Feels and generally bored me a bit. However, the support were as amazing (in a way) as I imagine Sigur Ros to be.
that's probably the best signature i've ever seen
Why can't I see signatures? I checked it in Control Panel.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-31-2007 10:14 AM

He is talking about Kyle's signed Animal Collective vinyl, not the forum.

Youngs 10-31-2007 10:58 AM

Oh, that will teach me to read before writing. I still don't get the signatures, but there are none i suppose.

I want to play an organ, but there is none around.

Neoteric 10-31-2007 11:10 AM

Only some mods have signatures.

And that's pretty cool Kyle, I'm jealous.

okay 10-31-2007 01:53 PM

i wish girl talk would come here
I don't think it is worth me driving two hours. So hopefully it isn't.
I haven't seen him myself or anything, but i get the feeling the shows mostly consist of him and that chick from the Magik Markers standing around and fiddling with their amp knobs.

BringHomeTheBacon 10-31-2007 04:36 PM

Today is me and Robert Pollard's birthday.

YDload 10-31-2007 04:45 PM

i believe you
no need for further questioning

AlienEater 10-31-2007 05:09 PM

are you having a joint birthday party?

if you don't all the cool kids will go to his fiesta and you'll be left with fat guy and the nerds

YDload 10-31-2007 07:42 PM

okay i was in art class and the professor put on a Ben Harper CD. gawd.

it was the biggest bunch of bullshit ever, white people talkin about "oppression" and overcoming and garbage like that. i thought top 40 music was insincere but this guy really changed my mind.

although i liked the tone of the bass

Zmev 10-31-2007 07:49 PM

Is he the Ben that did Diamonds on the Inside?

For some reason that song was in my head today.

Glitterati 10-31-2007 09:13 PM

Some douchebag kid came to my door today and when I gave him some candy his eyes went right past me and said "I'd rather have that Kit-Kat bar actually."

I also saw a girl dressed up like Sailor Moon on the bus.

sgrevs 10-31-2007 09:15 PM

Seeing as Halloween stuff isn't that popular in Australia, we didn't get that many kids coming to the door. So now I have a big bowl of sweets to eats.

YDload 10-31-2007 09:43 PM

so why did you buy all that candy if nobody was going to take it? because youre a glutton.

Anxious 10-31-2007 11:05 PM

I got a grand total of 3 group of trick or treaters, one of which was filled with giggling, hot girls.

Needless to say, I ate a fuckload of candy.

dei 10-31-2007 11:16 PM

So I heard the Killers' cover of "Shadowplay" today and it made me cry.

pulseczar 10-31-2007 11:52 PM

Boys Don't Cry

pulseczar 10-31-2007 11:56 PM

But you can cry, dei, because I love you.

dei 10-31-2007 11:57 PM

I need to download something before I go to sleep.

Quickly.
