Murdererer 01-11-2010 11:14 AM

im listening to the song see you in hell by suicide commando, im diggin the sound

Meatplow 01-11-2010 11:44 AM

l338 h4x0r is the resident Suicide Commando fan around here

1338 h4x0r 01-11-2010 11:47 AM

first EBM I ever heard

||X|||

Jaundice 01-11-2010 11:49 AM

same here probably, i was never particularly impressed tho

Meatplow 01-11-2010 11:50 AM

speaking of EBM

Biomekkanik's State Of Perfection was boring as ****

Jaundice 01-11-2010 11:51 AM

you run that risk with EBM

speaking of which, i need to give Front 242's debut another spin, i remember it being better than Front by Front

Meatplow 01-11-2010 11:54 AM

БИО's Алхимик was a particularly notable EBM failure from 2009

9 of the gayest synthpop tracks I have ever heard, 8 of which were remixes of the first

can you feel the generic?

Jaundice 01-11-2010 11:56 AM

yeah that doesn't look promising

Meatplow 01-11-2010 11:57 AM

I no longer have the translated lyric sheet it was lol.

I may have sent it to Chris through MSN

Meatplow 01-12-2010 12:58 AM

Gashing The Old Mae West is very good, Alex

Jaundice 01-12-2010 12:59 AM

Yeah **** is ****ing heil. The title track is when of my favorite industrial pieces.

I should take another listen to the Kato b-side, it was different.

Meatplow 01-12-2010 01:03 AM

I'm halfway through Kato, I really like it.

It makes me want to look through the rest of their back catalogue.

Jaundice 01-12-2010 01:10 AM

You need the Since the Accident LP I'm always going on about. It has the shortened Gashing on it.

It's basically like, the middle ground between their early pure industrial stuff and the more song-oriented later era.

Meatplow 01-12-2010 01:13 AM

Along with Ear Bitten I'll check that one out, I only have Rotund For Success atm.

Have you heard Thomas Leer & Robert Rental's The Bridge? Some early electronic stuff off of the Industrial Records label, I just bought it on CD.

Jaundice 01-12-2010 01:16 AM

Nah, I've never heard of it. Will look it up.

I think I need to do more exploration into the discographies of Suckdog and Johanna Went. I like this girly industrial thing.

I already have three releases by Suckdog, two of which i haven't listened to . But Johanna Went apparently released some records on Boyd Rice's label and I think i might have a hard time finding them

Meatplow 01-12-2010 01:18 AM

I assumed she was purely a performance artist

i'll have a look around

Jaundice 01-12-2010 01:19 AM

the references section at the end of her bit in industrial culture mentions a few releases

lol, did i ever tell you that Boyd Rice had a mentally retarded child with the bitch GG raped at the bus station?

Meatplow 01-12-2010 01:23 AM

I heard something about him having a retarded child he disowned, I couldn't find any information on it though.

link?

Jaundice 01-12-2010 01:26 AM

I don't know if i have specific link for it, but it's well documented that they were married and i read in several places that she was the mother. Apparently he was also an abusive husband but that's no surpise.

Meatplow 01-12-2010 01:31 AM

http://www.amazon.com/Drugs-Are-Nice-Post-Punk-Memoir/dp/1932360948

looks like it is detailed in here

Jaundice 01-12-2010 01:36 AM

yeah i've been thinking about checking that out

Jaundice 01-12-2010 02:04 AM

yeah apparently Johanna has a single and an LP, i'm downloading both right now.

stay tuned for further developments

Meatplow 01-12-2010 02:06 AM

Jaundice 01-12-2010 02:10 AM

*sighs*

Jaundice 01-12-2010 02:39 AM

apparently there's a DVD out with videos of her performances on it. i might have to look into it.

Meatplow 01-12-2010 05:07 AM

I need more Die Form, this shitty cassette rip of Excisions I have is awesome

Meatplow 01-13-2010 10:18 AM

Missing Foundation is good

Jaundice 01-13-2010 03:42 PM

can missing foundation be found on i am surrounded by incompetence?

Meatplow 01-13-2010 03:43 PM

i'll put it up there soon

also, you all really need The Young Gods self titled album if you don't have it already

Meatplow 01-13-2010 05:17 PM

check the demos free releases OOP thread Alex

2muchket! 01-14-2010 09:50 AM

Don't know if this would be the correct place to ask but meh may as well.

Looking for some new house music to listen, into stuff like SebastiAn, Kavinsky and Deadmau5.

Any rec's would be welcome.

Txus 01-14-2010 10:23 AM

I don't really listen to much House but I do enjoy minimal house stuff. So if you're interested check out Pantha du Prince, Sten, Efdemin, Gui Boratto,The Field, Ricardo Villalobos, Alex Smoke, Dominik Eulberg.

2muchket! 01-14-2010 10:27 AM

Heard good stuff about Pantha Du Prince, I'll check out the rest also.

Cheers.
There will be three brand new albums in 2010 – the new Foetus studio album Hide, a brand new Manorexia studio album (in stereo and 5:1 surround sound) and finally, the Manorexia chamber album which will be released on John Zorn’s label Tzadik.
Awesome news. Say what you want about Love, but it's really grown on me and I can't wait to see what Thirlwell pulls out of his hat for a new release.

Jaundice 01-14-2010 11:48 AM

nice

i need to devote more time to the foetus back catalogue, Thaw is great and I've been meaning to listen to Deaf

Meatplow 01-14-2010 12:25 PM

http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=194313&ev=rb

found that Burroughs LP for sale here, it's described as "a compilation of William S Burroughs tape experiments from early 1959 through 1978" so maybe its not just readings

i'm gonna make it my mission to try and find this online somewhere

Jaundice 01-14-2010 12:48 PM

yeah we should definitely try to find this

Jaundice 01-14-2010 01:04 PM

Ok, I think I got it.

Will see if it's legit when this download finishes.

Meatplow 01-14-2010 01:11 PM

I found it easily enough on Soulseek

Jaundice 01-14-2010 01:13 PM

Nice. Apparently the whole thing is included on the fourth disc of a 4 CD "best of" collection. I'm downloading that right now but it's taking quite a bit.
