im listening to the song see you in hell by suicide commando, im diggin the sound
|
l338 h4x0r is the resident Suicide Commando fan around here
|
first EBM I ever heard
||X||| |
same here probably, i was never particularly impressed tho
|
speaking of EBM
Biomekkanik's State Of Perfection was boring as **** |
you run that risk with EBM
speaking of which, i need to give Front 242's debut another spin, i remember it being better than Front by Front |
БИО's Алхимик was a particularly notable EBM failure from 2009
9 of the gayest synthpop tracks I have ever heard, 8 of which were remixes of the first can you feel the generic? |
yeah that doesn't look promising
|
I no longer have the translated lyric sheet it was lol.
I may have sent it to Chris through MSN |
Gashing The Old Mae West is very good, Alex
|
Yeah **** is ****ing heil. The title track is when of my favorite industrial pieces.
I should take another listen to the Kato b-side, it was different. |
I'm halfway through Kato, I really like it.
It makes me want to look through the rest of their back catalogue. |
You need the Since the Accident LP I'm always going on about. It has the shortened Gashing on it.
It's basically like, the middle ground between their early pure industrial stuff and the more song-oriented later era. |
Along with Ear Bitten I'll check that one out, I only have Rotund For Success atm.
Have you heard Thomas Leer & Robert Rental's The Bridge? Some early electronic stuff off of the Industrial Records label, I just bought it on CD. |
Nah, I've never heard of it. Will look it up.
I think I need to do more exploration into the discographies of Suckdog and Johanna Went. I like this girly industrial thing. I already have three releases by Suckdog, two of which i haven't listened to . But Johanna Went apparently released some records on Boyd Rice's label and I think i might have a hard time finding them |
I assumed she was purely a performance artist
i'll have a look around |
the references section at the end of her bit in industrial culture mentions a few releases
lol, did i ever tell you that Boyd Rice had a mentally retarded child with the bitch GG raped at the bus station? |
I heard something about him having a retarded child he disowned, I couldn't find any information on it though.
link? |
I don't know if i have specific link for it, but it's well documented that they were married and i read in several places that she was the mother. Apparently he was also an abusive husband but that's no surpise.

looks like it is detailed in here |
yeah i've been thinking about checking that out
|
yeah apparently Johanna has a single and an LP, i'm downloading both right now.
stay tuned for further developments |

|
*sighs*
|
apparently there's a DVD out with videos of her performances on it. i might have to look into it.
|
I need more Die Form, this shitty cassette rip of Excisions I have is awesome
|
Missing Foundation is good
|
can missing foundation be found on i am surrounded by incompetence?
|
i'll put it up there soon
also, you all really need The Young Gods self titled album if you don't have it already |
check the demos free releases OOP thread Alex
|
Don't know if this would be the correct place to ask but meh may as well.
Looking for some new house music to listen, into stuff like SebastiAn, Kavinsky and Deadmau5. Any rec's would be welcome. |
I don't really listen to much House but I do enjoy minimal house stuff. So if you're interested check out Pantha du Prince, Sten, Efdemin, Gui Boratto,The Field, Ricardo Villalobos, Alex Smoke, Dominik Eulberg.
|
Heard good stuff about Pantha Du Prince, I'll check out the rest also.
Cheers. |
There will be three brand new albums in 2010 – the new Foetus studio album Hide, a brand new Manorexia studio album (in stereo and 5:1 surround sound) and finally, the Manorexia chamber album which will be released on John Zorn’s label Tzadik.
Awesome news. Say what you want about Love, but it's really grown on me and I can't wait to see what Thirlwell pulls out of his hat for a new release. |
nice
i need to devote more time to the foetus back catalogue, Thaw is great and I've been meaning to listen to Deaf |

found that Burroughs LP for sale here, it's described as "a compilation of William S Burroughs tape experiments from early 1959 through 1978" so maybe its not just readings i'm gonna make it my mission to try and find this online somewhere |
yeah we should definitely try to find this
|
Ok, I think I got it.
Will see if it's legit when this download finishes. |
I found it easily enough on Soulseek
|
Nice. Apparently the whole thing is included on the fourth disc of a 4 CD "best of" collection. I'm downloading that right now but it's taking quite a bit.
