Yeah when i first started lsitening to the Who, i didnt really think Entwistle was as great as everyone always said. My Generation was cool, and i liked alot of there songs but the bass never really stuck out at me.

But then i saw a live DVD (Isle of Wight festival maybe???) and entwistle really carried the band when they were live, he was so much better than i though he was.

Its much funner to hear them live, my favourite The Who recordings are live, they take off.
like entwistle said, and i want a band that do the same:
"when you play the sa,me show day in and day out, it gets boring, therefor we improvise"

The bass is actually a bit low in the recordings, so you wont be able to hear all he do. like "Wont get fooled again" sounds rather wolly on the recording, but live it realy sticks out what he does.. same thing for his solo albums, you hear so much more what he does there.
