Metalica BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

halfdeadhippo 02-29-2004 07:43 PM

^ very insightful.

As for the hardest Metallica song to play, I've always found Battery to be difficult, simply because I can't do the galloping rhythm thing.

EDIT: spelling

Per Ardua Ad Astra 02-29-2004 07:46 PM

Yes, i've seen Live shit, binge and purge. Yes, it is well worth the money.

Joeeddstealschickens 03-01-2004 04:15 AM

Battery on S&M is sweet as hell, but what other songs do you reckon would work well weith the orchestra? I reckon Harvester of Sorrow and Phantom Lord.

the elf from lord of the rings 03-01-2004 09:53 AM

does anyone have the and justice for all official tab book for one. if so could you kindly send it to me via e-mail.

It'll do. You're english right? So was that in london or somewhere?

davey 03-02-2004 01:07 PM

i read that for this current tour they have a new stage setup and its in the centre of the arena floor with the crowd around the outside, ya'know kind of like on the cunning stunts dvd. That sucks :upset:
Im seeing them in sf on the 8th of march so if anybody is going before me can they tell me if this is true and what it was like?

Crocto 03-02-2004 01:07 PM

us yanks are still waiting for east coast dates. i saw them live in 98 it was freaking awesomel best concert i've ever seen.

Jon 03-02-2004 01:16 PM

I can't decide if hearing Dyer's Eve is worth £90. I'd love to see them again, but not if you can only get weekend tickets.

*Hopes they'll play Reading*
It'll do. You're english right? So was that in london or somewhere?
Yup. London. Earls Court. Got there at 2 to queue and was SECOND ROW [/retelling of story for 42nd time]

davey 03-02-2004 03:37 PM

youre lucky being second row! ive had to wait since last summer to see them here in the states.

Jon 03-03-2004 10:57 AM

But waiting for 5 hours on a concrete floor is soooooooooooooooooo boring...

Squirrel 03-03-2004 11:29 AM
o well i will just go for both days is that 85quid for 2 days?
90 quid methinks; there'll be lots of good bands there besides Metallica but theyre my main reason in going.

davey 03-03-2004 11:57 AM

xtreme_skatah 03-05-2004 04:07 AM

DimebagDarrell 03-05-2004 06:32 AM

I have only tried the intro acoustice bit so far the rest is full of tricky triplets

Jon 03-05-2004 06:18 PM
Who can play Battery? I'm gonna learn it soon so I wanna know some stuff about it like how hard it is or something.
Why not try it? Its not hard.

KirkIsKing 03-06-2004 01:21 AM
Why not try it? Its not hard.
Well i find it hard. but i have been playing for only bout 5 months without a single lesson. if i try hard enuff i can play it. i have played it once before(minus the solo) All of the metallica solo's sound near impossible for me to play. i guess that just means i suck eh?

Crocto 03-06-2004 01:25 AM

i've been playing for 4 years and i can play maybe 4 or 5 metallica solos. of course i only get to play like 10 minutes a week.

KirkIsKing 03-06-2004 01:35 AM

i can play alot of the rhythm guitar parts for metallica. just not the faster solos. i can get the slower ones pretty good though. like the first 2 in one and first solo on fade to black.

kickflipskaterguitarist 03-06-2004 02:43 AM

Personally i think Fade to black is metallicas best song-----along with master of puppets and sanitarium. The one thing I want to know, Is Metallica going to bring out another album?
I hope they do but st anger was definatly thier worst(although it was mad it was no match for thier old stuff)
