Well, I checked out The Mars Volta today...they're okay, I guess.

I dig the production, dig the actual music...the lyrics are pretty nonsensical but I can manage.

But the voice kills me. It's like a combo of Geddy Lee and Maynard James Keenan, neither of whom I'm particularly fond of.

But in far more important news, I am going to be a half-brother.

They're a fantastic band, but the vocals can take getting used to. THey do work great with the music though if you let yourself adjust to them. The lyrics are actually good, but you have to actually read them and analyze them to get meaning from them. Force yourself to keep listening, and phase the vocals out, and you'll eventually get them to blend with the music if that makes sense.

And I meant half-brother, not stepbrother. Whoops. I'm going to have to edit my post.

The only real experience with real siblings of any kind was with my stepdad's kids from his other marriage, but I only saw them on weekends (he was divorced), so I never really bonded with them. My cousins were/are practically my siblings.

I have two brothers, my older one is really uptight about stuff, but my little brother is friggin' hilarious at hell. I'm going to miss him when I move.

Thats quite alot there though, From kindergarden to the end of High school i noticed about 3 black people in my school, so as you can see its pretty much a white area i live in.... Unfortunatly they all left due to racism...I do not think its fair that people have to move house just because of there skin colour.. :upset:

I live in the UK, although there is like 2% of black people withing the 15 miles surrounding my house, there are some areas that are about 80% Black people...

England. I live near Leicester, the basic centre of immigration into England. Anyone that immigrates usually goes to a city, and Leicester is the most common.

Btw, im not racist. Alot of Indians in my town keep our society together, and i respect them alot.

Its opposite in England. The Asians are ALLOWED the hate the whites. Its not seen as a bad thing, but as soon as we say anything. BAM! Were racists... The school accused us of starting a racial attack today.

My school is about 55% white, 40% black, and 5% other.
