I ordered RoC off the Internet (a first!), so it should be comin' in the mail soon.

br3ad_man 11-06-2004 11:58 PM

Oi Happymeal. You should download "Autobahn" by Anberlin...try to get the acoustic version, it's much better. I reckon you'll like it a lot.

Iris 11-07-2004 12:02 AM

I've been really into Damien Rice lately.

br3ad_man 11-07-2004 12:04 AM

There is a Something Corporate DVD coming out. I bet it'll suck and I'll love it.

Tangy zizzle 11-07-2004 01:12 AM

Artists I've been diggin:

Devendra Banhart
Dismemberment Plan (Emergency & I kicks my arse)
Blood Brothers
The Arcade Fire
Roots Manuva
Quicksand

I also got Monster Movie by Can. How good is it you ask? About meleventy goods.

stifflittlefingers 11-07-2004 01:42 AM

Umm I'm not sure if this is the right type of music but,
The Rentals. good.

br3ad_man 11-07-2004 04:01 AM

I've been listening to some good crybaby pop-punk. I've been liking these:

Anberlin
FM Static
Something Corporate
Blink 182

As I said before, Happymeal, you should check out Anberlin as well as FM Static. Get "Autobahn (Acoustic)" by Anberlin and "Definitely Maybe" by FM Static (you can get that one off purevolume). I'm pretty sure you'd dig them.

I've also been listening to Weezer, Hot Snakes and These Arms Are Snakes...and some Beatles.

enjoy_cai 11-07-2004 04:29 AM

WHAT I'VE BEEN DIGGIN' TODAY :

Iggy Pop
Deftones
At the Drive-in
Queens of the Stone Age
Wilco

Listened to Wilco all the way while doing homework! hehehehe...

I'm still trying to find Autobahn, but Definitely Maybe's pretty good. Thanks:) In this case, I recommend Desert City Soundtrack(also on purevolume) for those "moments". Foglifter is a beautiful song from them. Also get I'll Catch You from The Get Up Kids if you haven't already listened to it.

Luxor 11-07-2004 12:30 PM

So what's going on with that Elliott DVD? Is it not even going to be released anymore? :(

asymm 11-07-2004 12:39 PM

today I've mostly been listening to I See A Darkness by Bonnie 'Prince' Billy because today for my radio show I'm playing the whole album. So I've been soaking it in and recording my thoughts to speak about the songs during my show.

You guys can listen to my show online if you want now: http://www.drakebroadcasting.com My show begins at 7pm (Central Standard Time)

Ive heard the song "Readyfuels" by them, it was nice.

Luxor 11-07-2004 01:17 PM

I'm downloading "Mit Gas" right now because of all the good things I've heard about Tomahawk. I better not be disappointed.

Tangy zizzle 11-07-2004 02:35 PM

^^ It's possible that you will be. While Tomahawk are probably the most straight forward of Patton's later groups, they're still not for everyone.

Luxor 11-07-2004 03:17 PM

I'm listening the opening track, "Birdsong", it was really good up until the vocals came in. I'm not a big fan of his voice. I'll keep listening though, it'll probably grow on me.

40 oz 2 freedom 11-07-2004 03:20 PM

Crimes.

I wasn't too fond of it until I saw them(the Blood Brothers) last night. It's all I have listened to today.

Zappa 11-07-2004 04:42 PM

Tomahawk are crappy.

Mekkalayakay 11-07-2004 05:35 PM

I've been listening to Figurine recently. The only songs I have downloaded are New Mate and Robots, but they are both very good.

Tangy zizzle 11-07-2004 05:40 PM

Figurine?

What kinda music?

Mekkalayakay 11-07-2004 05:42 PM

Electronic Alternative Pop-ish

Iris 11-07-2004 05:48 PM

I've just rekindled my love for Simon and Garfunkel.

Mekkalayakay 11-07-2004 05:58 PM

I've also just discovered Arcade Fire, which is an indie rock band. Good band. I'm downloading songs now.

Tangy zizzle 11-07-2004 06:03 PM

The Arcade Fire are great.

Happymeal 11-07-2004 08:22 PM
Crimes.

Spread the love!

cbmartinez 11-07-2004 08:40 PM

So I think that "Blackbird" by The Beatles is one of, if not the most, beautiful songs ever written.

40 oz 2 freedom 11-07-2004 09:48 PM

I decided to give "Crimes" a rest. So now it's TV On The Radio.

shane italian 11-07-2004 10:21 PM
The Arcade Fire are great.
I must admit I enjoyed them live.

Lately:
Boysnightout
Hot Cross
Bloody Sunday
Since By Man

Do you have MSN? I'll send it to you if you do. Get me on:

I listened to Muse and Trail of Dead today.

Hot Cross = :naughty:

Iris 11-07-2004 10:28 PM

Doesn't Hot Cross have members of Saetia?

shane italian 11-07-2004 10:28 PM

You should check out Since By Man. They aren't exactly the same style, but I have a feeling you might dig them.

shane italian 11-07-2004 10:29 PM
Doesn't Hot Cross have members of Saetia?
Yep. You can hear a huge similarity in guitar tones.

Little Man being Erased 11-07-2004 11:08 PM

DJ Danger Mouse - The Grey Album

I never expected this to be good. I mean, I hate Jay-Z, but he is actually quite a good rapper. And I thought this would have destroyed the Beatles, but Danger Mouse did an awesome job. I really like this record.

and I'm still listening to Kashmir - Zitilities every day.

milkandlaxatives 11-08-2004 04:05 AM

i have been listening to the smashing pumpkins all day except for a little elliot smith. mmm pumpkins. i'm even eating pumpkin pie right now. coincidence? i think not...

milkandlaxatives 11-08-2004 04:23 AM

i have decided that 'twilight' by elliott smith is an awesome song not only in and of itself, but also an awesome song to make out to.
any takers? ;)

Tangy zizzle 11-08-2004 04:29 AM

Can we e-Kiss?

br3ad_man 11-08-2004 04:33 AM

Twilight delivers. Good work.

milkandlaxatives 11-08-2004 04:53 AM
Can we e-Kiss?
*makes e-kissy faces because there doesn't seem to be a smiley for this*
