I used to be into them. I mean, they aren't bad or anything I just never take the time to listen to them anymore.

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 09:32 PM

They're probably the best in the genre, but...

Not really Deathcore at all, but semi similar, have you heard The Faceless?

As much as people throw their name around, All Shall Perish really isn't too too bad. I like their melo death-y style

Animosity is decently good

Any of those?

botb 02-16-2008 09:34 PM

All Shall Perish is the shining gem of the deathcore genre.

i am the robots 02-16-2008 10:48 PM

Animosity rules

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 10:48 PM

Yeah, I kinda realized they aren't as bad as I was claiming.

masscows 02-16-2008 10:49 PM

The Red Chord tbqfh

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 10:50 PM

Not deathcore

masscows 02-16-2008 10:50 PM

I'll point out hardcore parts if I have to.

Seriously.

i am the robots 02-16-2008 10:52 PM

yeah, wtf are you talking about?

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 10:53 PM

They aren't.

masscows 02-16-2008 10:54 PM

lol that would be what makes it deathcore you ****ing retard

ohhh ninja edit

Please explain to us why they aren't

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 10:58 PM

Dude, Entombed is Deathcore too because they are def mettle and hav hardcore parts omfg!

masscows 02-16-2008 11:01 PM

You could call them that, but that argument is used to deny the fact that deathcore even exists and has nothing to do with the Red Chord at all. Stop recycling Cocaine's arguments and using them in a way that doesn't make sense in the context of the discussion.

Explain why you think All Shall Perish is deathcore while the Red Chord isn't, seeing as how the Red Chord actually has hardcore parts and All Shall Perish doesn't have any.

adb 02-16-2008 11:05 PM

so I'm probly gonna do a review of this band:

http://myspace.com/tbp

I still don't know what genre they are. I think they're melodic deathcore, but am not sure.

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 11:07 PM

Are you serious? Are you ****ing serious? You are willing to call Entombed Deathcore to try and pass The Red Chord off as deathcore as well? Jesus christ, you are ****ing retarded.

i am the robots 02-16-2008 11:09 PM
Dude, Entombed is Deathcore too because they are def mettle and hav hardcore parts omfg!
yes, but the red chord emphasizes hardcore portions in modern dm songs, while entombed is just oldschool which is all pretty thrashy and "core"

seriously hbp, youre wrong, shut the **** up, stop acting like you know better than others

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 11:11 PM

They had one pretty much core album, that was Clients. They stripped alot of that out on Prey For Eyes. It's still there, but they were never deathcore. Fused had its grind parts, didn't make it grind.

i am the robots 02-16-2008 11:12 PM

and the other two as well you moron

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 11:13 PM

no. You have to be ****ing deaf and blind to The Red Chord if you label them deathcore.

masscows 02-16-2008 11:13 PM
Are you serious? Are you ****ing serious? You are willing to call Entombed Deathcore to try and pass The Red Chord off as deathcore as well? Jesus christ, you are ****ing retarded.
Have you ever actually heard their stuff from Wolverine Blues and onward? I mean, if you wanted to you could call it 'deathcore' because there's quite alot of hardcore influences (being completely arbitrary here, since most genre tags are). I'm assuming you've only heard Left Hand Path because you're such a kiddie.

And way to avoid my argument. The Red Chord is definitely deathcore and you're stupid for going on about how they aren't without providing any sort of argument to prove that they aren't. You just ad hominem and hope to bait people into doing the same. Back up your points next time and stop being such a dumb kid.
They had one pretty much core album, that was Clients. i am the robots 02-16-2008 11:14 PM

you're just completely wrong dude

DBlitz 02-16-2008 11:15 PM

lol... The Red Chord is deathcore. Dunno how you can say otherwise

i am the robots 02-16-2008 11:16 PM

well its hbp, could you expect any less?

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 11:19 PM

 masscows called me a kiddie

you're 15
Narrow minded large bundle of stickss call The Red Chord deathcore. They have Grind elements, they aren't deathgrind. Primarily, they are death metal. Not all their songs have this hardcore influence masscows seems to be cumming over. They might have a breakdown here and there, but so do ****ing Coheed And Cambria for god's sake. L Formation has a slow part in it that sounds like a jazz progression, are they jazz now too? There is way more to their sound than just Hardcore, and you are just being stubborn if you say otherwise. Death Metal is the predominant sound and that is what they are. Prey For Eyes may have hardcore influences and structures to it, it's still a death metal record. So unless you want to get your genres off of Wikipedia gtfo and form your own opinions of the music.
shut the **** up, you're wrong

Tyler 02-16-2008 11:22 PM

Just because they're not lumped in with the "deathcore" scene doesnt mean you can't label them that way. They really don't have many hardcore influences but you could still justify the label.

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 11:22 PM

No, you are just a ****ing retard who says anything that moves is deathcore

that's where Masscows and Mappy get off calling them that, from the fact that they are kind of in the "deathcore" scene.

i am the robots 02-16-2008 11:23 PM

yeah bro that made sense!

LifeInABox 02-16-2008 11:24 PM

No, dude, because hardcore influence = deathcore right?

i am the robots 02-16-2008 11:25 PM

everybody says youre wrong, can you shut up already?
