Live at the Deaf Club has funny covers, so I'd say that.

CombatRock 06-14-2006 01:18 AM

My band is covering Police Truck at our next gig.

username77 06-17-2006 06:57 AM

Today is Jello Biafra's birthday.

Danger Bird 06-17-2006 02:07 PM

Grow More Pot is a great spoken word track.

Brain Toad 06-17-2006 03:40 PM

I like Become the Media more.

And his spoken word on Joey Ramone was really inspiring.

RudeBoyStompin 06-19-2006 11:34 AM

I love the one where he crashes the Republican 2000 convention.

Ghostfire3 06-23-2006 04:06 PM

Guys, what DK song that is fun to play on guitar should I learn next?

I already know California Uber Alles, Kill the Poor, and Moon Over Marin.

RudeBoyStompin 06-23-2006 10:54 PM

Soup is Good Food is a fun one to play.

Let's Lynch the Landlord has a cool solo, and When Ya Get Drafted does too...
MTV Get off the air is awesome, mostly for bass though...

sketchyjoe 06-24-2006 08:44 AM

Pull My Strings

Sieg Howdy 06-24-2006 08:48 AM
myspace.com/backfromthebrink

haha... I play guitar on teh Marin and bass on the other song.
Cool, your singer sounds very Jello Biafran, kind of...

Does anyone else have any DK covers?

RudeBoyStompin 06-24-2006 12:58 PM

Seeing Jello speak in an hour and 15 minutes.

edit: Cancelled, damn.

Liebensaft 06-24-2006 06:28 PM

Why was it cancelled? I wasn't planning to go, but I know a few people who were.

RudeBoyStompin 06-24-2006 08:48 PM

Jello's flight (from Boston I think) kept getting delayed. They were having bad weather apparently. So it kept getting pushed back an hour until they finally had to cancel. I had waited around for like 2 and a half hours.

The guy organizing it said he'd probably come back to do a Philly date in a couple months to make up for it.

Liebensaft 06-24-2006 09:40 PM

Aw that sucks. Did you get your money back?

RudeBoyStompin 06-24-2006 10:25 PM

Yeah

Ghostfire3 06-24-2006 10:26 PM

How much was it?

RudeBoyStompin 06-24-2006 10:27 PM

$10

sketchyjoe 06-27-2006 07:01 AM

I found EBR's Trouble in Town 7" on Soulseek. It's okay.

Clashed 06-29-2006 10:26 PM

Has anyone really seen a police truck.

Deconstruction 06-29-2006 10:46 PM

Why have I never posted in here? I dunno...but I just started venturing to the punk forum. Anyway, does anyone else think In God we Trust Inc. is as good or better than Fresh Fruit? I have been listening to Fresh Fruit more lately and its growing on me...but I dont have Fresh Fruit on vinyl so...that kind of sucks. I also wasnt here on their last tour...which reallly wasnt cool...

sketchyjoe 06-30-2006 05:28 AM

I just found my FFFRV CD. The disc's been missing for at least six months. It was in the sleeve of Rancid - Life Won't Wait.

Ew. Why was in THAT case?

RudeBoyStompin 06-30-2006 03:01 PM

I like that album.

Cygnus Inter Anates 06-30-2006 03:10 PM

Jello Biafra is a hero solely on the fact that he ran for mayor of Sanfrancisco.

Deconstruction 06-30-2006 03:18 PM
I like that album.
Which?

Brain Toad 06-30-2006 03:20 PM

In God We Trust Inc is probably my favorite release from them. I have two versions of it on vinyl, the remaster/reissue and the AT original.

Jello's mayoral race inspired me and I thought about running for mayor of my city, but I don't have the funds.

RudeBoyStompin 06-30-2006 08:34 PM
Which?
Both

Greg Ginn 07-02-2006 08:22 AM
does anyone else think In God we Trust Inc. is as good or better than Fresh Fruit?
No I prefer Fresh Fruit...

Cygnus Inter Anates 07-02-2006 08:28 AM

Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables is probably there most solid for me.
