You're not supposed to AGREE with it. You're supposed to be outraged and send him a 1000 word e-mail full of spelling errors and personal threats. Then he posts those and we all have a hearty laugh at how angry people can get over a website :)
Or you can just laugh at the article regardless of your feelings on SOAD. Have a sense of humor, don't be like the Juggalos and go crazy when someone insults your favorite band! |
I like reading those band bashing things from SA. The guys are just so narrowminded. I really liked the Tool one. "Tool are a progressive band, the nerdiest genre ever concieved."
Hey wait, you're the one typing out hour long flames on bands, and posting them on a forum you have to pay for, right? PHAYLE! |

Hey wait, you're the one typing out hour long flames on bands, and posting them on a forum you have to pay for, right? PHAYLE!
You have a lot to learn, Tool boy. 1) These articles aren't typed out on the forums, they're part of the main website. You get paid for writing for the website. 2) It's a joke, and Tool fans are often the most vocal defenders of their favorite band, so doing an article on them is a natural thing. It proves that people who attach their egos to bands and get offended at their being insulted are ridiculous. 3) IT'S A JOKE. David Thorpe doesn't hate EVERY band he makes fun of; that's why it's so fun to read them. "Doctor" David Thorpe is more of a persona who himself is a mockery of music journalists who think they know everything and can objectively say which bands are "bad." 4) JOKE! |
Wow, that's one of the stupidest articles ever even if it's meant to be a joke. And whoever wrote that article thinks roosevelt is the current president and he went to war in iraq. Roosevelt didn't fight in deserts, so I think those people can't interpret the lyrics. Unless this is all a joke which still made no sense.

System of a Down has been one of the biggest downfalls of nu-metal. Toxicity was pretty amazing...then what the hell happened? They started screaming about Pepperoni Pizzas, and BYOB'ing. They used to be original. Something happened. Its upsetting.
Sellouts perhaps? |

Grow up Westicle, they always wrote funny lyrics and then randomly had hidden messages, seriously, bands are aloud to do something you don't like without being 'sell outs.'
SYSTEM OF A DOWN SET TO RELEASE HYPNOTIZE NOVEMBER 22 ON CD AND DUALDISC
Six months after System of a Down's Mezmerize debuted at number one on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, the uncompromising and outspoken quartet returns with Hypnotize, part two of a promised two-album set. American Recordings/Columbia will release two versions of Hypnotize, the band's fifth studio album, on November 22. Both the CD and DualDisc versions feature 12 new songs as well as artwork by Vartan Malakian, father of SOAD's guitarist/singer Daron. The packaging for Hypnotize is specially designed to physically join Mezmerize and Hypnotize together, forming one unified product with continuous artwork. Additionally, the DualDisc edition will contain exclusive behind-the-scenes footage showing the making of both records. More importantly, the albums interlock musically. The final track on Hypnotize, "Soldier Side" completes "Soldier Side Intro," which appears as the opening track on Mezmerize. HYPNOTIZE Track Listing 1. "Attack" 2. "Dreaming" 3. "Kill Rock 'n Roll" 4. "Hypnotize" 5. "Stealing Society" 6. "Tentative" 7. "U-Fig" 8. "Holy Mountains" 9. "Vicinity of Obscenity" 10. "She's Like Heroin" 11. "Lonely Day" 12. "Soldier Side"
I just got this in a email. I wasnt sure if you lot new yet. |

The only bit i dont get from that email was this bit,
More importantly, the albums interlock musically. The final track on Hypnotize, "Soldier Side" completes "Soldier Side Intro," which appears as the opening track on Mezmerize.
As why would a intro be after the main song if they inter lock:confused: |
It would have been smarter for System of a down to have made Soldier Side (Outro) on Mezmerize and then on Hypnotize make the first track Soldier Side. That would have made the albums connect better.

It would of made more sense for them to do that. Unless this is what they are going for, the 'out of the box thinking'. |
No i understand what they are doing.
Soldier Side (Intro) is like the beginning of the Mezmerize/Hypnotize collaboration and Soldier Side is the end of the collaboration. Took me a while. :upset: |
toxicity was da best album by far. would you agree?

No S/T was heavier, rawer, and more mathematical than the others. |

November 22nd. But im not sure if that is the UK or US release. As the UK is a day before the US date. |
The 22nd is a Tuesday so thats probably the US release date as UK albums are released on a Monday, So more than likely UK release is the 21st of November :thumb:
Mars Volta are apprently really awful live (well from what I've heard from show reviews of the supporting SOAD)
I wouldn't go to see them anyways. SOAD > TMV :D |
Mars Volta are apprently really awful live (well from what I've heard from show reviews of the supporting SOAD)
That makes no sense, Omar and Cedric were so good live for ATDI. I still reckon they'd be awesome live. :D |
