|
dunno about u but i believe everything he says
Thats why your a fanboy |
So...
I'm going in to the city in a few hours... I want another 'Deth album. :thumb: I have Rust in Peace and So Far, So Good... So What! so what should I be looking for (Question to experienced Megadeth fans? :P) I'm interested in a Thrash album, but not sure which I should get, suggestions please! |
Try Killing is my Buisness....And Buisness is good. That's the last of their really thrashy albums. Countdown To Extinction is another great album, but more Classic Metal than thrash.
|
Yeah, well, that's the album I was after when I got SFSGSW, sorry, I didn't say in my post, Australia has what I would call, the worst taste in music. I had to order SFSGSW from Europe... So yeah, I have a problem looking for their early work :(
But, the albums I do know I can get are The World Needs a Hero, Cryptic Writings and I guess Countdown To Extinction. I'll order in Killing is my Buisness.... And Buisness is good.definately though. |
Finally got Rust In Peace today.
No idea why its taken me so long to get it... |

What? KIMB was their first album, and their most thrashy. Its also IMO their second best album, after Rust in Peace. |

I meant it was the last thrashy Megadeth album that he didn't have. |

Oh I see. Sorry about that. What do you guys think is more worth the money... Cryptic Writings or The World Needs a Hero? I like Trust a lot, but off TWNAH there's Dread and the Fugitive Mind and Return to Hangar. Those are the only songs I've heard off either, cept Almost Honest, which I really don't like. |
I would pick Cryptic writings over TWNAH as IMO it has a lot better songs and is jsut generally better quality.
It's not very metally at all thoguh so that puts a lot of people off of it. |
In other news, how good is Mary Jane!
I dunno, I'm addicted to it now, I can't stop listenning to it, especially at the 3:00 mark where he breaks out with the "FORGIVE ME FAAAATHER, FOOOR I HAVE SINNNNNED" and then the 'solo' although, not really a solo? I guess that's Mustaine, right? I can't really tell the difference between the two guys... |
the songs good for a while i used to love it but now when i have sfsgsw playing i always skip it and listen to 502 instead ya no its just 1 of them songs u end up playing out
|

Yeah, I can see that happening :( Also, how good's the picture at the back of the SFSGSW booklet? 80's! I love it. |
do u mean the 1 on the back of the cd cover aswell i like it cos if u look at dave and compare him to peace sells and kiling is my business u can see how much he changed like he got a bit of weight on himself and face looks a hell of alot different
|
I have neither of those albums :(
I want them though, I'm trying to see if my mum will gimme the car for today so I can run into the music store (I couldn't get the car yesterday :() |
both good albums i never used to like peace sells but when i started trying to learn peace sells on bass i had to listen to it and got into it from there
|
SFSGSW is underrated IMO. Into the Lungs of Hell is my all time favorite instrumental, its better than any of Tallica's easily. Set the World Afire is classic. Anarchy was a cover, and a pretty cool one I'd say. Mary Jane, I agree with the dude above who likes it. 502 is a nice little song. In My Darkest Hour is another classic. Liar, I personally love it. And Hook in Mouth is just awesome.
|
Yeah, that is a great album. I love Set the World Afire.
|
I've only heard In My Darkest Hour and Set the World Afire of that album. Both great tracks.
|
best song off that album is hook in mouth just an amazing song
|
My favorite is Into the Lungs of Hell. I don't know, I think its amazing. In My Darkest Hour is a very close second, then Hook in Mouth.
|
my only problem with hook in mouth is i cant find a completed bass tab for it
|
Yes Hook in Mouth is a great song, as is 502 i'd say
|
502 is good spec the start i always thought it was a proper siren but i had my headphones on yesterday and realised it was ellefson or some1 making the noise
|
brother will kill brother, spillin blood across the land!
|
where the **** did that come from no1 mentioned that song for ages lol
|
megadeth is probaly one of my favorite metal bands
i have all of their cds except killing is my buisness and buisness is good other then that i have them all my favorite is probaly peace sells but who's buying or the system has failed |
Um, I don't much like In my darkest hour, they are playing that on tour
they should do anarchy in the U.K that would be cool What's the deal with TWNAH? is it a proper album because it hasn't go remade yet  |

It sounds fine the way it is. Most of them do. The only remasters i think make a real difference are risk, cryptic writings and youthinasia. |
