i dunno the whole idea of improvisation is to make something that is enjoyable, and since people are in this case choosing their favorites, i don't see why it would be just whoever plays the fastest or can show the most technique

I was making a hyperbolic statement, but you know at heart that whoever's entry has the best tone with the fastest, cleanest technique is going to be the one everyone digs. It's how we roll. But you know what I was trying to get at, if it's a clear landslide then it kind of ruins the point of a 'competition' at all and kinda ruins the point of a prize.
