Dancin' Man 11-03-2005 11:00 PM

Mmmm... boobs are nice. I saw a beauteous set today while watching Hable Con Ella.

KeepingTheBlade 11-04-2005 02:00 AM

i wasn't sure about the wondered and wandered but i definitely noticed the you're.

KeepingTheBlade 11-04-2005 02:02 AM

how come nobody ever votes with crits? it's always just numbers.

RunAmokRampant 11-04-2005 05:45 AM

Because they're goddamned lazy.

Anyway I saw Doom today and I thought it pretty entertaining. I am planning to see Saw 2 as well when it comes out because I enjoyed the first one. Anyone else seen these films?

Disco Dragon 11-04-2005 12:56 PM

I just viewed Saw 2 last night, and I must say that it was about 2000x better than the original. Anyone remember the horrific acting of Cary Elwes? Yeah.....but the acting was actually good, even by that guy from New Kids On the Block. Also, keep your eyes peeled for the ending.......

xKONRADx 11-04-2005 03:41 PM
how come nobody ever votes with crits? it's always just numbers.
if someone is that lazy, you can request a crit from them and theyre required to give one or theyre votes will be dq'd.

RunAmokRampant 11-04-2005 06:10 PM

Yeah the acting wasn't that special in the original. Not even Danny Glover was up to his standard. Still a clever movie. Ive been hearing that this sequel is better than the first. Hmmm, it's not out yet in Australia, but I'm definitely going to see it.

KeepingTheBlade 11-04-2005 08:23 PM

i downloaded it the other day.. it's alright. i liked the first one better. i still haven't seen doom.. it's somewhere on my computer i just haven't bothered watching it yet.

ATC 11-05-2005 02:13 AM

Doom wasn't too good. I have no idea if they were faithful to the game or not since I'm not a gamer but it felt so contrived. Clunky dialogue though the ending action sequence was pretty cool. Ten bucks says the Rock comes back and does a similar thing like in The Scorpion King or Mummy 2. He's going to make a career of playing half humans.

RunAmokRampant 11-05-2005 03:29 AM

Its not a movie that's meant to be taken seriously. It is loosely based on the game as it has the same company involved and there are zombies and there is the BFG 9000 weapon. And yes the end sequence was pretty cool and funny.

DeadReligion 11-05-2005 08:36 AM

Making movies from games is just an idiot idea anyway...

RunAmokRampant 11-06-2005 12:43 AM

Yeah but they are entertaining and it's rare for hollywood to come up with an original idea anymore.

TojesDolan 11-06-2005 01:28 PM

Usually game movies are not exactly what you expect.

Except for the Mario movie. That one kicked arse. With the giant goombas lol.

Scarred4Life 11-07-2005 02:28 PM

Lowridden, I would like a crit of my song please.

As it stands now, I'm getting good rankings from writers who I respect and would want to have enjoy my piece, and getting bad rankings from people I've never heard of. Alas.

TojesDolan 11-07-2005 02:39 PM

Yes Lowridden, something for me would be sexy as well.

SubtleDagger 11-07-2005 04:23 PM
Welcome to LC, would like you like a tiny violin solo with your obvious complaint?
Hey quit complaining about the complaining.

TojesDolan 11-07-2005 04:57 PM
Hey quit complaining about the complaining.
LOL patronizing about complaining for complaining.

OK I'll shut up. :upset:

Scarred4Life 11-07-2005 04:58 PM
Welcome to LC, would like you like a tiny violin solo with your obvious complaint?
Piss off please. :) I happen to play violin.

KeepingTheBlade 11-07-2005 05:28 PM

Hopefully things will start picking up again... i'm still waiting for the triumphant come back from all the greats and vets... Bob, Drummergirl who is probably dead now, jurialmunky

Who are you?

Lowridenn 11-07-2005 06:05 PM

Scarred4Life - The whole piece reads as a nursery rhyme, something I'm not fond of. There was some good lines in it Waxen features melt / an expression of regret / Recall forgetten sins / misshapen silhouettes for instance, as well as The sanguine tide embraces / the midnight and the shore / And ivory darts will mar / since conscience is a whore. For such a structured piece the syllable count varies quite a bit, especially within the last three lines of each stanza, which I didn't care for anyway. Compared to other pieces in this challange, I did not think it was as good. I must say, however, kudos to the title.

TojesDoLan - It was quite bland. Not terribly bad, but not great either, especially when placed up against some of the other pieces in this challange. The second stanza really didn't do it for me, and the last stanza was somewhat of a let down. And there were some grammatical errors.

KeepingTheBlade 11-08-2005 02:11 AM

oh yeah.. i remember that.

KeepingTheBlade 11-08-2005 02:13 AM
Who are you?
Yeah.. apparently people think i'm new but i'm sure it's obvious now that i'm not.

RunAmokRampant 11-08-2005 03:39 AM

Just out of curiosity, what were your past username(s)?

Crimsonpunk 11-08-2005 09:24 AM

Yo, lowriden, you may aswell do me one

SubtleDagger 11-08-2005 09:32 AM
Yeah.. apparently people think i'm new but i'm sure it's obvious now that i'm not.
Gee, thanks for telling me what I already know.

I asked who you were for a reason.

EDIT: Okay, you're k.s.e. God forbid you could just tell us these things instead of having me ip scan.

SubtleDagger 11-08-2005 10:25 AM

LC needs no mystery and intrigue. There aren't enough masterpieces for this to be Masterpiece Theatre.

KeepingTheBlade 11-08-2005 02:42 PM

i'll make sure to log in with a proxy from China next time.

i actually did this cause i was just curious if votes for me were inspired by how long i've been here. i was just insecure.. like a man with a small penis should be.

KeepingTheBlade 11-08-2005 02:46 PM

lets just have lowridden do everyone one

Lowridenn 11-08-2005 07:37 PM

Ask and you shall recieve. Sorry these aren't in quite the detail I did above, but I am short on time.

TojesDolan - Above.
RunAmokRampant - Imagery was quite exquisite, and I am a sucker for imagery.
MMPR - Absolutely beautiful. It was tough to decide between you and RunAmok for first/second.
Dancin' Man - As others have said, the structure was the downfall.
Bowl of Oranges - I like the way the piece plays with a wax firgure. It is consistent, but a little bland.
SubtleDagger - Solid work, as always. It just didn't jump out and grab me like some of the others in this challange.
Pixiesfanyo - The imagery is outstanding. The piece just doesn't seem to affect me in the way some of the other pieces in this challange (as well as some of your other work) do.
ATC - Both of the "I want to..." stanzas were appealing to me. It was a fun read.
Silenceevolves - I actually really enjoyed this piece. It feels complete and makes perfect sense to me.
xKonradx - It seems mechanic. I can't feel any emotion in this at all.
Scared4Life - Above.
KeepingtheBlade - Some of the delivery seems a bit off. I did like the last stanza, but overall, it just didn't do it for me.
CrimsonPunk - Emotion that needs direction. Very clunky and contains some grammatical errors.

Crimsonpunk 11-09-2005 05:01 AM

Whats clunky, Awkward ?

Dancin' Man 11-09-2005 09:49 AM

Masterpiece Theater sounds like some sort of food. Like fancy TV dinners.

TojesDolan 11-09-2005 09:52 PM

Argh shoot...

It's been ovre a week already? :(

I forgot to edit... :(

I had it al ready, though.... I'm disqualified for the next one, right? :(

dammit.

CSD & the Soul Machines 11-10-2005 12:43 AM

Ooopsy, me too. I think I did quite well too, owell.

SubtleDagger 11-10-2005 04:36 AM

You probably would have won.

Someone tabulate votes, I'm in the mood for writing.

EDIT: Nevermind. Pix won.

pixies - 4 (7) 2 7 2 2 1 2 2 2 ; 24/9 = 2.667
