The current bassist is Brent Harding, Matt Freeman left after he had his first child (but he now has lung cancer.) and the backing vocals for Story of My Life are probably that of John Maurer or Dennis Danell.

Social Distortion is great, there old stuff kinda sounds like ramones, but I like there newest album the best :thumb:

So yeah, i saw them last week, on tuesday. The opening bands were decent, the lost city angels and the eyeliners. Social D came on, and opened with Mommies little monster...wow. The show was overall, preatty good, especially since it was only 15 bucks. But i was a little dissapointed in that they didnt play much of their faster stuff, like Telling Them, Don't Drag Me Down, The Creeps. The only song they played off White Light was Under My Thumb. :sad: They didnt even play bad luck...
But don't get me wrong, they were great, and at the end, when they played story of my life...wow. I must honestly say that they closed a show better than anyone I've ever seen live. The new bass player is cool i guess, haha he looks like a fat Quentin Tarentino. After the show we met the "replacements" haha, meaning the Old *** Drummer, the new guitar player, and the new bass player.... Mike Ness never came out, but oh well. Seeing that he's like, 40 some years old, I have to admire him, he can still put on such a great show. If they're coming to your town, i'd definitely reccomend seeing them.

Mike Ness was probably too busy shooting up.
