Well, my vote went to Disco Dragon. There wasn't much in the way of really good stuff this month (I read most months but don't post) but DD's song was really good.

My entry sucked but i hope doing these challenges will help me improve. DD got my 2nd vote and k.s.e 3rd. They were both excellent songs but not really my cup of tea so they were kept off the top spot.

well thats nice.. i got a last place vote by some guy who doesn't even know how to vote...

Society shmiety, if you ask me we don't really need a society. I'd prefer something more along the lines of a non-stop, non-democratic toga-party. You know, something with liquor but not those pesky lines at the urinals......

......I guess what I'm saying is that since society is being pissed down the drain anyways (and always has been), we should at least do something to help it along...such as drink heavy amounts of alcohol.


P.S. I got kicked in the face at karate class tonight....so I got that going for me.

Now that I've realized (through the crits) that songs I didnt particularly like apparently remind people of Bright Eyes, I can safely say, without bothering to ever listen to them, that they suck.

I don't like Norma Jean either. Same principle.

And in other happy news, I'm off to Greece and Spain in the summer. Yay.

I don't see why my songs are compared to Bright Eyes, when I play and sing them, I don't sound anything like Conor :shrug:.

Who are Bright Eyes? I don't know who they are, but apparently there are lots of folks on here who don't like being compared to them...so that suggests that they suck.

Bright Eyes is really just a singer/songwriter (Conor Oberst) that has a band and plays with a few other people. He does stuff that ranges from electronica tracks to acoustic pieces. I personally like his stuff a lot, though he's losing his touch.

Can i please comment on the common misunderstanding
of gothic music, 'Good goth lyrics are chilling, usually depressive
and grotesque' -WRONG- no offence but these kind of lyircs do not fit
in the true gothic gategory, proper gothic lyrics are fairy tales put
in a poetic sense. But then again are there still many real goths around,
Because most goths nowadays are just trying to be as extreme as possible and
think a gothic lifestyle is all based around satanism. if it can fit around any religion
it is still Pagan, Gothic is about the search for individuality not about demons, drugs
and killing yourself.
