Coheed killed his children because he was told that he had passed down the Monstar virus to them, but in a more serious form known as the Sinstar. The sinstar cannot be removed since it is in their bloodstream, and unlike the Monstar virus, it needs no fluids or counterparts to make it an active thing. All that is needed is for the bearer of the Sinstar to reach their 23rd birthday.
Whoah I've never heard this, where did you get that info from? I was under the impression Coheed wasn't implanted with the serum until after he had the kids, but your details are pretty specific so i guess they must've come from somewhere, was this in a radio interview or something? A link to this info would be great :thumb:

Also Cobert; feel free to call me steve, conygre is the name of my uni halls, so it's easy to remember. Also, I don't know everything about the story so don't take my word as gospel :)

cobert 03-02-2005 05:11 PM

Yeah, only claudio knows the story for sure. But most of what you said i thought was right before this discussion even happened.

And i still have no idea where the **** he got this sinistar thing from.

Captain Jack Sparrow 03-02-2005 05:18 PM

It took me a long time to get in Co&Ca, but once I did I was hooked. They're a pretty decent band.

cobert 03-02-2005 05:22 PM
It took me a long time to get in Co&Ca, but once I did I was hooked. They're a pretty decent band.
and your 5 favorite songs are.....?

Captain Jack Sparrow 03-02-2005 05:27 PM

1. A Favor House Atlantic
2. The Crowing
3. Blood Red Summer
4. The Light & The Glass
5. Three Evils

That's the only album of theirs that I own, and with the rest of the songs on it, I can take them or leave them.

cobert 03-02-2005 05:35 PM

And you know about 2113, right? its track 23 on IKSOSE: 3

I have trouble picking 5 favorites. I like pretty much everything theyve made.

cobert 03-02-2005 06:21 PM

OMG....Newo has the secret mentioned in the album title.

Faint of heart: "worried by your words that you couldnt say if it couldve saved them from"........Newo couldve saved people, presumably when the earth "opened", as mentioned in a few songs.

Backend of forever: "crazy were the words, that scribbled out your mouth, i stuttered replaceing, your face to those words"........Al couldnt believe whatever newo just said, and these are "the words" from faint of heart.

Favor house: "disturbed by your words, and theyre calling all cars"......everyone is now looking for newo because of what she said.

I just noticed this 10 minutes ago listening to the cd. I think it makes sense.

PeenkPhloide 03-03-2005 10:25 AM

How much is the comic?

cobert 03-03-2005 10:27 AM

Oh snap.

He got eh stuff about the sinistar from cobaltandcalcium.com. I think the guy that put that on the site got them from the comics, too. That site really cleared some of the story issues up.

TMA 03-03-2005 11:10 AM
thats what i thought, then steveconygre said that its impossible to pass down the monstar  .

I agree with everything else he said, except i thought he was killing them to stop them from becoming the monstar, er, sinistar or whatever. But where di you hear about the sinistar at? I remember that just as an old game in arcades.
Dude, I got the Sinstar stuff from the first Comic. However, I'm not sure if the Sinstar part is true. Captin Mayo Deftinwolf told Coheed about it, but Mayo is trying to corrupt everything, and telling Coheed about that is used to his advantage. Whether it's real or not, I personally have a strange suspicsion that it was passed down to Claudio, one way or another. Guess we'll have to wait to find out.

TMA 03-03-2005 11:12 AM
How much is the comic?
I bought it at a Co&Ca show for $3.00
At least the first one. I don't have any of the others yet, nor do I know if any others have been released.

The comic, bro. The comic, the comic, the comic. It tells all. How so? It was written by Claudio Sanchez himself. The artwork was done by another, but the storyline was by Claudio.
And, he was injected with it BEFORE the birth of any of his children.
He is part of the KBI, the knowledge, the beast, and the inferno. He was created by some mad doctor who was actually a terrorist whose plan was to destroy the keywork. He implanted the beast with the Monstar virus. Coheed, is infact, the beast. However, shortly after his creation, the monstar started influencing Coheed's mind, and he eventually killed the doctor because of it.
Coheed's wife, Cambria, is also part of the KBI, as is his brother Jesse (aka The Prize Fighter Inferno). However, I'm not sure which is which in this case.

TMA 03-03-2005 11:19 AM

Rep me, for I am your master!

TMA 03-03-2005 11:27 AM

Sorry for making a 5th post in a row but...
I think I just creamed myself...
Co&Ca are expected to have a DVD, "Live at the Starland Ballroom", due out March 22nd. 19days!
And the first comic will be availible in comicbook stores AND Hot Topic outlets next month.
PLUS, the second comic is expected to be done and distributed by April. Comicbook stores should have it in May.

steveconygre 03-03-2005 01:26 PM

ah right, well I live in the UK and copies of the comic were stupidly expensive that I didn't get one. I'll check out the cobalt and calcium, thanks for all the info

Isn't Coheed on EqualVision, and isn't EqualVision a somehwhat-Indie label. If so...how did Coheed get onto MTV/Radio and ****. I think they would still be as great as they are now without being on MTV/Radio casue their radio/MTV listeners are usually the ones who listen to that pop crap too. But this is a pop-punk forum so...

dislocated214 03-03-2005 02:29 PM

I like:
Everything Evil
Devil in Jersey City
Al The Killer
In Keeping Secrets...

They made it into the scene because people like them and they are good.
They're one of those bands that all the people who already knew about them started spreading the word on. And they were also touring with semi-popular bands already, so that really uped their fan base.

cobert 03-03-2005 06:37 PM

Umm....wouldnt it be sensible if jesse was the inferno and that leaves cambria to the knowledge part of KBI?

ITS NOT A TUMOR!!!!

Thallium 03-04-2005 06:48 PM
To be fair he does say "the singer is so annoying to me". That is his opinion, we can't criticise him for someone's voice not appealing to him. Now, if he had said "OMFG Claudio can't sing at all like the guys in GC", then we would have had a case.

Plus, he does say they're excellent musicians, so he's not completely flaming the band. Although I have to admit coming in here just to say you hate them is bound to generate some controversy.
Well, i'm glad i'm not getting flamed. I'm used to it since i'm a newish member.
but yeah, it was just an opinion, and that's what the threads are for, expressing your opinions.
besides... even if his voice is annoying, they'll still be better than Good Charlottle.

cobert 03-05-2005 02:39 PM

And the new comic is out in may or april, ive heard varying reports.

The good news is that not only will it be sold in comic stores (not many around here), but also in hot topics.

EDIT: nevermind, TMA got to it first.

the Inferno = Jesse. AKA - the Prize Fighter Inferno.
he's a boxer, whos a prize fighter. omglol.

the Knowledge = Cambria

The Beast = Claudio.

the huge scar things on Claudio actually have something to do with huge spikes prodcing form them, i dunno, but i imgin we weill see more of it when he turns into the Monstar.

hey, you're not cory! 03-06-2005 01:01 AM

i was at the mall yesterday...and i had a coheed-tastic time. first i see a kid with hair EXACTLY like Claudios. and then i see a kid who has on the exact same CoCa sweater that i was (and am right now) wearing

Does it actually say claudios the beast in the comic somewhere? If not, then i believe coheed is the beast.

Besides me, i only know of about 5 people other than myself that like coheed and cambria. Im sure alot of people in my school dont even know who they are.

Same here. I like a few of there songs and all, but if I were to ask a few random people at my school they'd be like "Who is that?" So I'm happy I can find someone in my situation. :thumb:

DJ Ducksauce 03-06-2005 03:53 PM

Most of my friends know who Coheed and Cambria are. I go to one of those schools where 90% of the kids listen to rap/R&B.
Most of my friends know who Coheed and Cambria are. I go to one of those schools where 90% of the kids listen to rap/R&B.
So do I. If they dont listen to rap, they usually listen to good charolote and always talk about how punk they are.

DJ Ducksauce 03-06-2005 04:15 PM

I saw a girl who had the whole GC look going. She had a GC shirt and a black beanie. It was funny.

I'm pretty sure you're right on that one.

cobert 03-06-2005 05:33 PM

Yeah, I think cambria is the knowledge because she knows claudio was the crowing, jeese is the inferno because...well, hes the prise-fighter inferno and all, and coheed is the monstar, making him the beast.

PeenkPhloide 03-07-2005 10:31 AM

Does anyone here have a band that plays Co and Ca stuff? Me and Cob played A Favor House Atlantic lass night. It was hella t1ts.
