I think they are very expiremental and it pays off to make good music.

aurallyfixated 05-01-2005 12:41 AM

incubus has been a huge inspiration to me. They're one of my favorite bands and have been so for a long time. I find that they're very original and very true to themselves above anything else, and that's something I value very much in a band.

I really loved their early work, but I really respect the fact that they're allowing themselves to grow with each album they release.

The only thing I've ever been disappointed with was when Alex Katunich left the band. Ben Kenney is a very talented man, but...

My favorite thing they've done recently would have to be their work on the Halo 2 soundtrack. It's awesome.

incubliss 05-01-2005 06:30 PM

anyone got anything on the new score they're doing for that film Stealth?

hoping it's not gonna be cheesy rock because that film sure as hell looks like it's going to suck ***. only redeeming quality is Jamie Foxx is in it.

i wet myself when i saw Incubus on the lineup for Reading festival.

Janitor 05-01-2005 08:31 PM

The songs for Stealth have been finished, a single is coming out on May 16th I think. The bands manager called some people up the post on incubus-online-view.com and let them listen to the songs. The people lucky enough to hear them say they're awesome, not cheesy at all.

incubliss 05-02-2005 04:25 AM

goodo!

i also hear about another score for a Surfing film? any truth in this?

Krash100 05-02-2005 07:30 AM

I used to hate them until I gave them a good listen. Now they're one of my favorite bands from recent years.

I think Morning View is fantastic and ACLOTM runs pretty close. Don't like much of their early material though.

SuperNinja 05-02-2005 10:31 AM

retarded

Janitor you are an idiot because incubusfan is right half the music coming out these days sucks and the bands have no talent i mean look at simple plan and stuff they all require no talent go 2 ultimateguitar.com or mxtabs.net and look at the tabs NO TALENT!!!!

Bukowski 05-02-2005 12:02 PM

You don't necessarily have to have talent to make good music. But I agree that Simple Plan suck.

Incubus are OK. If they were playing near me, I'd go see them.

I'm actually not 100% percent sure if Incubus is doing this soon or if Mike was the only one involved and it already happened. http://www.boardfolio.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=BSS&Product_Code=DVDBDMELODY

He's listed in the credits.

incubliss 05-02-2005 07:07 PM

ah that's cool, thanks for the info and the link, might have to check it out.

Jack Johnson on the credits too, and Eddie Vedder, interesting!

Jack Johnson, Eddie Vedder, Kirk Hammett, and Jon Theodore (Drummer for the Mars Volta) are starting a jam band together. They all surf and have apparently hung out with eachother. I think it was jack and eddie's idea to start it. It'll probably be pretty cool.

incubliss 05-03-2005 04:54 AM

jesus! that'll be so cool.

Easyblue 05-03-2005 09:53 AM

I've actually just been starting to get into them, again.. Good band with unique, average, and commercial sounds..

rossini 11-06-2005 12:20 PM

i think brandon boyds voice is great

FungusAmngus870 11-06-2005 12:27 PM

I would have to say theyre one of the most underated bands. I really cant name many bands that resemble them entirely.

JonM 11-06-2005 12:35 PM

Bringing back the year-old Incubus thread, I see. That's okay. I love Incubus, I always have, and I always will.

lpdude0690 11-06-2005 12:58 PM

I found on the internet that they're in the studio fixing to start writing a new album....If they are, hopefully it'll be out soon, I can't wait! I hope the album will be like morning view or ACLOTM.

Krash100 11-07-2005 10:18 PM
incubus rule, everyone must listen to blood on the ground and circles, if you dont, then you deserve nothing and will get less than that.
Two of the best songs on Morning View which, yes, is their best album. ACLOTM came close to matching it at times, but just isn't as consistent as Morning View.

P.S. I like Incubus

I only like one song by them.

BringHomeTheBacon 11-07-2005 10:29 PM

Great band. To be honest I'm more of a fan of their recent stuff. I bought S.C.I.E.N.C.E and apart from a few tracks, didn't find it to be great. A Crow Left of the Murder, on the other hand, is my favorite of theirs. So many great songs off it- A Crow Left of the Murder, Agoraphobia, Talk Shows on Mute, Sick Sad Little World, Pistola, Southern Girl, Here In my Room, Leech.

JonM 11-07-2005 11:09 PM

Wow that's really blasphemous.
