Judas Priest - Victim of Changes' intro riff! Thats one of my favorites
|
The begining bass line on Cryptopsy's Phobophile is kinda freaky.
|
Funeral Fog, no competition.
|
I agree with Mein Teil statement. Every time i hear it it seems to surround me. And it's also pretty loud.
But - it will never be as creepy and spooky as Black Sabbath's self titled :) |
Ancient Ceremony - Ex insula angelorum
Arckanum - Pans Lughn, Hvila pa Tronan Min Corvus corax - Intro Viator Diabolicum - The Grandeur of Hell Huorn - Woods Of Despair Nehemah - The Witch Burns... Scarier than any of the above |
Revolution Nine by the beatles.
scary -no freaky -yes |
to tell the truth, nothing really freaks or creeps me out, usually if it does other people, just think its badarse.
as for most evil riff... dunno, can't think of one. kinda off topic, but 'Hate Me' from Children of Bodom has the most upbeat riff for a non-matching title. |
black sabbath-black sabbath
tool-faaip de oiad lady hamburger |
Scissors - Slipknot
|
Presents for (or is it from? I can never remember) the poision Hearted- Cradle of Filth.
OK, how about Avenged Sevenfold- I Won't See You Tonight Part 2? If you've just listened to part one and you've got no idea what's coming next, you get that buildup of distortion and then it just sounds wrong. |
black sabbath - black sabbath
well its not now but when it was first made... |
St.anger - Metallica
Its scary people can make music that bad |
The Doors-The End in the Apocalypse Now version when all those hummings and buzzes are going on it's sort of freaky. Well it is when ur layin in ur bed and it's pitch black
|
Burzum - Han Som Reiste
I donīt know what this name means, but this is the freakiest song iīve ever heard... and the vocalist donīt even sings on it! |
Akercocke- Upon Coriacious Wings. A freaky instrumental.
|
Testament - Demonic Refusal
Opeth - Demon of the Fall (except for the last part, how beautiful) Opeth - Blackwater Park |
Some of the songs on the Deeds of Flesh album "Inbreeding The Anthropophagi" have some awesome samples.
There's some kvlt black metal that most of you are not worthy of mention here. I hate how "gothic" culture is growing and black metal is slowly becoming more mainstream... mainstream means idiots control everything. BLAH!
Yes indeed... In a few years Black Metal in all its glory will be overrun by idiots who don't know anything about the Inner Circle and the meanings of Black Metal. What Black Metal needs is a new serie of nice murders and burning churches to scare the horde! Anyway, when you play Curse you all Men with max volume and you don't know the song, the begining COULD scare you.... |
Slayer - Necrophiliac (the part where Araya holds out the word "hell." I was like..."whoa!" the first time I heard that and it freaked me out just a little)
Pink Floyd - Echoes (the high pitched part) |
Pink Floyd - Careful with that axe, Eugene (especially the Live in Pompeii version). The scream just gives me the chills. Btw funny that people mention the squeeling sounds in Echoes, I find that very relaxing for some reason.
G.G.F.H. - Room 213 (Frozen Heart Mix). I find this a really creepy song, it sounds really f*cked up. |
good charollte "lifestyles of the rich and famous"
scary s,h,i,t  |
Electric Funeral - Black Sabbath
Only the intro mind |
Silencer - Death - Pierce Me
|
Opeth - Drapery Falls at 5:49
Opeth - By The Pain I See In Others at 1:19 (and its an acoustic riff) Slipknot - Tattered & Torn (that little weird guitar line all throught the song) just a few i thought of so far |
Leper Affinity.
|
wasnt there already a thread about this not to long ago
|
This is the same one, it's been bumped....
must I remind you all Korn - DEAD BODIES EVERYWHERE |

KoRn is the master of creepiness..but i like most of their songs & stuff
|
yes, Daddy and Sean Olson should also be in huge letters, but I'm too lazy.
|
Soilwork - The Chainheart Machine
Soilwork - Romm No.99 (the start of the 1st and ending of the 2nd) are pretty dam scary |
Not scary or anything of the such, but Psycroptic's "The Colour of Sleep" has a weird sounding opening riff.
|
that song by rammerstein. those german bastards are ****ing scary. just picture listening to a song by them in a dark room but no light. :thumb:
|

How about Dirty. Right before the chorus you can hear some strange, high notes in the background with a freakish, but cool effect on them |

Holy **** yes, or the solo in Dirty, that is a freaky solo, same with the solo in Earache My Eye... that is freaking nuts... plus Jon says "go Head" in that weird deep voice that he says "get your boogey on" in Got The Life right before it, it's just freaky. |
I think that "Desecrate through reverance" by avenged sevenfold is pretty freaky. and "foundation" by sicks deep. they both sound like funeral scary devil stuff. it doesnt have to be hard to be scary, it the feel and the mood of the riff
|
ANYTHING by Opeth
Gallery Of Suicide by Cannibal Corpse South Of Heaven of course Eradication Instincts Defined by Dimmu Borgir And one song by Dimmu Borgir on that same CD...I think it's Lepers Among Us maybe. But anyway, there's a part where all the music except the keyboards stop, and it plays these freaky sounding minor chords and some girl's like "Satan was here. Satan spoke to me. He called himself god." or something like that. Freaked the hell out of me first time I listened to it. |
Linkin Park has a really freaky solo at the end of Part Of Me.... but that's about their only creepy riff.
Carouself has a freaky riff too, nm, same for the lead part in high voltage.... |
the bass intro on eye flies by the melvins
or pretty much anything by the melvins that's non stoner witch or houdini era |
the bass intro on eye flies by the melvins
How Do You Get The Backwards Version Of Stairway To Heaven? I Want To See If The Stories Are True!!!!
some one probably just made into that but when i looked at the lyrics it didnt look like it would actually be that, someone just thought it would be funny to do that most likely |
