Its about an art exhibit, Sensation, that focused purely on making the ordinary extraordinary by aggrandizing somehow, usually in size, I believe.

Thats pretty much what rap does in these moments of banality: focus in on something ordinary and then makes it ostensibly more than that by building rhymes around concepts that fail to be critical or unique. It bores the hell out of me.

Perfunctory arguments against hip hop are very typical, i guess that's why the community isn't in aw of your "enlightened" opinions.

I enjoy my music to have real life connotations; while lyrics about drug use or struggles living within confines of society (as cliche as it sounds), when portrayed right, delivers an emotional resonance that I don't [I]feel [/I]from other genres, as distinctly.

Why do you harbor such a grudge against hip hop? I don't like mainstream airwaves either, but you will never see me dismiss rock, country, etc based on on their mainstream counterparts.
