i dont know about garands, they're still semi-auto, and can be damaged with modern higher-power 30-06 loads, you'd need to find a good amount of old military surplus ammo.

you'd probably be best of with modern day semi-auto and bolt action hunting rifles. also ak's and ak variants are notoriously reliable even when in sh[size=2]it as[/size]s condition.


crowbar would be great for close combat stuffs, a good blow to the head can knock someone or something down easy, not to mention it can open doors and move **** thanks to it being a crow bar.

I am officially heading out in the morning to get a few light weapons, ie a crowbar and a machete

My apartment still doesn't have basic tools like tape and scissors but it will have the tools to split a skull in half

You guys don't know the best way to take out a group of zombies; The KY-Firetruck. Fill a firetruck with KY Jelly and then when they approach shower them so they can't move [will all slip over each other]. The have them flanked by groups of people with carbon-fibre machetes. Any outliers you take out with spear-guns from the top of the firetruck. Notice how none of these weapons makes noise? It's to allow you time to regroup for the next wave.

I think any form of close quarter combat with zombies is really not a good idea.
Replace the mob with machetes with a bloke in a combine harvester, I reckon that'll be the way to go.

Once they're KY'd you throw a net over them. You can target limbs and heads quite easily while they're under a weighted net. Alternately you could electrify the net once its in place and weighted down until their motor nerves are burnt out.

If you want a hideaway shipping containers are good, they give you better ventilation than concrete bunkers and they can be welded/cut with holes at 3 metre intervals so that you can shoot out of them. The easiest way is to actually cut them a bit bigger so the zombies think they might be able to grab you, but you stand away from reach and shoot their bodies, or cut off their arms when they stick them in and flail.

I've thought this through.
