I'm taking a theory class at Uni. and i hate it. It's just general composition theory. But i'm so bored with it. I'll just stick to applied theory.

Are you becomeing a Music Major thats what I plan to do,Im not sure if I want to do Performance or Composition.

Why do you find it hard? or Do you find it harder,so you want to go to applied? which is harder? I dont know what the levels are lol.

I find it interesting,im not that good at it right now,I started taking piano lessons to help with it too. I am preety good at sight reading now too,I suprised myself getting better the other day playing a new peice,and sight reading it rather well.

I enjoy theory once I get it down but memorizing it kills me.

I took the course out of interest. It's not that it's hard, it's that it's dry and boring. It's mainly sutff I know, but can't explain.

I prefer applied theory. All that means is that i'd much rather sit down with a bass and find out for myself what works and what doesnt. Learning why something works or how it's supposed to be isn't as fun as finding out for yourself. It's mainly like playtime with my bass and that's all I see my bass as. A source of entertainment and creativity.
